First time to Rhubarb for a birthday dinner with a group of friends. Each of us had a set dinner at S$140++ per pax. Warm service and cozy ambience for chatting. We been to many Michelin Star restaurants and frankly speaking, we all felt that Rhubarb just need a bit more “wow” in the food. There is nothing wrong with the food (each dish was cooked to perfection), but still it won’t leave a deep impression. Really hope Rhubarb can improvise something more challenging with layer & layer of excitement for our tastebuds.

This restaurant truly deserves at least one Michelin Star. I had eaten at Michelin Star restaurants before but never understood the hype. Now I do!

This was the best meal I've ever experienced so far. Beautiful, delicious, fabulous, amazing!

The service was very good, I think the waitress struggled a little bit with our English but we were well taken care of, in a warm and supportive atmosphere; it did not at all feel stuck up, which I don't enjoy.

Every dish we had was a celebration for the eyes and taste buds. The flavors melted together in my mouth and were just incredible.

We were lucky to get to talk to the chef who was very friendly and there is no doubt that Rhubarb is his labor of love. The whole team, you can see them cook, worked hard and did a fantastic job.

I hope to be able to be back one day. Thank you, Rhubarb team. Great job!

Singapore boasts 38 restaurants with Michelin Stars, ranging from one to three. The elegant, lush, green Duxton Hill is an appropriate setting for a star-studded restaurant. The neighborhood might even look like a quaint European village with history lacing it. Graceful bars, shops, stores and restaurants line the well-paved roads. Contemporary French Rhubarb Le Restaurant, sporting one star, is in this enchanting location.

Do I have to say more?

Well, this restaurant deserves the star. Rhubarb has just about seven tables, seating about 30 guests. The atmosphere is intimate, snug. From every table, guests can watch the stylish open kitchen. It’s a pleasure to watch the white-clad staff, busy crafting the contemporary French dishes under Chef Paul’s leadership. Rhubarb offers an a la carte menu. A set multi-course menu, where the guest can select seafood, or the type of meat is also available. Ingredients include foie gras, oyster, toothfish, anchovy, snails, bone marrow and quail. The chef or one of his staff presented our orders with a short description of the dish. The set menu ends with a tasty, assorted desert plate. As may be expected, visual appeal gets attention as much as the taste.

The wine list is predominantly French, but fine wine from elsewhere, representing new and old world, are included.

The place is all about Chef Paul’s personal interpretation of the modern French cuisine. Overall, it offers a good experience, but at an appropriately hefty price.

Chose this restaurant among the Michelin one star based on reviews, having tried other Michelin restaurants. Comparatively this falls short of others like alma. The food is quite good but I would say is conservative and lacks the creativity and surprise food making brings. The pre starters are less than other Michelin starred restaurants. The service is good though. A nice dinner I would say but fall short of my expectations of a one star restaurant especially given the price.

The food is always changing and spectacular. Infact, the staff takes the trouble to remember and/or ask what you had the last time to ensure you have something different if your visits are too close to each other.

The wine selection is always great.

Always a winner. they are not on par with the other one Michelin restaurants- they should have two stars!!!
