Description: Nestled in the lush surroundings of the Ginger Garden, within Singapore's first world heritage - Singapore Botanic Gardens. The Halia was established in 2001 with great consideration to conform to the contours of the land and majestic trees. Our cuisine of Modern European with Asian Influences is a nod to Singapore's diverse and metropolitan landscape. Guests may choose to dine ensconced in the comfort of our air-conditioned Dining Room which still offer a view of the gardens through full-length glass windows or enjoy the natural breeze and surrounding view on the Viewing Deck.

The people in the restaurant are polite and quite professional. We enjoyed the food and drinks. Truffle fries ($18++ per basket) can be quite addictive. Worth trying those drinks with ginger. It is also a good place to enjoy the air conditioning if it becomes too hot outside.

Ordered the wagyu beef nasi lemak and the beef chunks were tender and juicy! The eggs any style was not too bad too, as I ordered the poached eggs and it comes just right with juicy wet egg yolk in red tomato sauce!

I would have given a 4 if it wasn’t for the absolute lack of maintenance of tables and chairs. All tables are made of wood but show the constant use by patrons with grease stains
A bit of sanding and a proper coating would do wonders

Chairs are covered in fabric, which show dark marks and outright filth where people rest arms and hands.

Given that this restaurant sits in a UNESCO heritage site, I would have expected a bit more of TLC

Food is nice

The setting is serene and very beautiful . Squirrels climbing up the trees.
Arrived was given menu but then no body came for a good 10 mins and the gentlemen near me a local shouted for me to be served.
Ordered various toasted bread that came with a local delicious sweet butter made in Singapore . My drink never arrived.
Staff need to pay more attention as the menu and setting are great .
