2 pools, both very nice, free parking. Close to Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay and MSB. Nice breakfast, it is worth to pay for club floors with free cocktail and snacks. Gym very small but well Equipped.

If you are too lazy or wanna save time and are just looking for a short getaway, then this hotel is the right one to go - but make sure you book a club room! With the club room comes the infinity pool at the 21st floor, a very good breakfast (big variety), soft drinks and snacks throughout the whole day and a happy hour from 6-8PM with free flow of alcoholic drinks and finger food as well as soft drinks in your mini bar. Free WiFi (fast!) and amazing staff providing an excellent service. The rate is a little high end but look out for specials, it might save up to 100 Dollars for 2-3 nights stay.

Great hotel, with excellent facilities and service, well placed to explore Chinatown and the surrounding marina areas. Adjacent MRT transport hub makes getting to more distant sites and venues very easy, and the close proximity of local food markets means that you have a great selection for dining out.

I watched the Oasia being built over a couple of years and have been intrigued to visit. Firstly, there are not too many red hotels that I know of and secondly, sky scrapers covered in climbing plants says something about the ambiance of the Oasia. You know immediately that this hotels is trying to be different from the normal corporate bunch in Singapore (of which there are an ever increasing number!). I'm a fan of the Carlton on Bras Basah - have stayed there maybe 12 times, and less of a fan of its sister, the Carlton City which lacks any atmosphere or character. The Oasia stands right next door to the Carlton City and quite literally put it in the shade. I felt that I had checked into a boutique hotel rather than part of a chain; admittedly, checking in on the club floor has its advantages in that it (they in general) are smaller and more personal. The Oasia club level feels like a private hotel with 21st floor infinity pool at check in level (and two more pools for general use on the 27?th floor). Great free cocktail hour or two with decent snacks in the club lounge and a nice open to sidewalk bar on 1st floor (if a tad expensive). The rooms are decent size and quite modern, though tbh the smoked glass sliding doors of the bath/shower room that open up into the bedroom were not to my taste... and easily walked into if you are half jet lagged as i was on arrival. My office is a 5 minute walk from the Oasia so it will certainly be on my watch list (price wise) for my next stay. It's one of the few hotels in SP that I would revisit with my family. No doubt prices will remain keen with the Sofitel opening up shortly - right opposite. If you need a hotel near the CBD then definitely check out the Oasia
