Creative japanese cuisine with a taste of sea freshness. It was our first trip to Sen and we asked for recommendations.
The Maguro Pizza did not disappoint. Glistening slivers of Maguro topped with gold flakes were served on thin crispy biscuit. We were impressed with the resident chef’s ingenuity. The next dish to come was the sashimi platter.
We loved the fatty ootoro which just melted in our mouth. The buttery texture of the uni tasted so rich and creamy, it was amazing. Another dish that impressed was the Anago/ eel tempura. The soft eel meat wrapped in light tempura batter tasted perfect and every mouthful was delightful. Colour, the friendly staff who was knowledgeable and attentive also recommended the mekajiki steak. The pan seared swordfish came served on a bed of asparagus. Sinking your teeth into the crispy golden crusted steak and feel the savoury juice ooze out as the chunks of meat separate was such a treat.
Check out their range of exciting desserts too, all made in house. The pumpkin ice cream we had was delectable.
