The entire lobby area and its' surroundings of this hotel are remarkably beautiful with all the Ecuadorian flower arrangements, etc. It was pleasant to come and go from. Nice service. However, beware that almost everything you choose to do is extra including the shuttle service to and from the airport. They charged $10 each way for a 2 mile trip. I found that to be excessive. It would not keep me from staying there again but I found it irritating.

Room Tip: The double queen room had very uncomfortable beds.

Celebrity uses this hotel as a base for people taking its Galapagos cruise. It is very comfortable, offers a very good breakfast buffet, and provides plenty of bottled water. Highly recommended.

We stayed here on either end of a trip to the Galapagos. We were with a small group so they arranged a separate check in which was flawless both times. At check in we were offered a cold drink that tasted like a thick blackberry juice. Not sure what it was, but it was a great treat, especially after a long travel day. We tried to find it in the bar to add a little "kick" to it, but were unsuccessful.

This is your typical Marriott, large public areas with nice architectural touches. The rooms are quiet and spotless The bathrooms are large with a separate shower. This one is remarkable for the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They could not do enough for our group. The food was fairly standard fare with a South American flavor.

Highly recommend this property.

The JW Marriott wins hands down in terms of style and decor. It is truly luxurious and has wonderfully comfortable beds. Now, the Radission is one step down but has a lot more services included such as wi-fi, ( :D ) free airport shuttle, 3 free long distance call minutes, and in our case free breakfast. From a location point, both are great, although the Radission was facing a slightly noisier street.

Okay. This was our fourth trip to Ecuador and everytime we swing through Quito we stay at the J W Marriott Hotel. This place is nice. All aspects of the hotel are great. Where it really stands out are its people. Each person you encounter is going to make sure you are satisfied. During our three week trip to Ecuador we stayed here three seperate times. Upon checking in we met a manager named Germanico Benalcazar. A very gracious young man indeed. He had us upgraded to the club room floor for each stay (we paid a small fee for the upgrade), and helped us with everything from tours to restaurants. Germanico is a natural and has a bright future. We feel fortunate to have met him. We went on three seperate day trips with Hugo Beltran. He is the guide Marriott reccommends if you want an English speaking guide. We have been with him on other trips and he does a great job. On our last day he took us on a full day tour to Mindo. When in Quito do not forget to eat at La Choza and La Ronda (yum). If you are in Quito this is the place to stay. My wife and I are already planning our next trip to Ecuador. You can be sure if we come to Quito our reservation will be at the Marriott. Thank you.
