We spent four days in Room 205 of Mansion del Angel in Quito. It was among the nicest experiences we have ever had. The room was beautiful, with a small porch that led to a lovely garden. The staff was unfailingly nice and helpful. The restaurant was very good, with impeccable service. The afternoon tea was extremely civilized, with cookies and tea sandwiches. The location is in walking distance to the Centro Historico and taxis are plentiful, safe and inexpensive. The hotel can also make arrangements to go to Otavalo and Mindo. We cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Dear Sadielicious,
Chicago

Thank you ever so much for your kind comments in regards to a recent stay with us. It was delightful to read about the impressions you experienced while staying in that particular suite. The staff wanted me to tell you that it had ben their pleasure to take care of you and you in return mentioned the various situations which caused you not wanting to leave.

Kind regards
Pahola Haro
Manager

After reading the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor, we booked 3 separate stays at Mansion del Angel in between trips to the Amazon & Galapagos. It truly became our home away from home - always welcomed back warmly by staff and given excellent service every time. We unfortunately first arrived with food poisoning from a flight and were too unwell to venture out of our room. Although there is no official room service, the fabulous staff arranged for soup to be delivered to our room in the evening so we didn't have to worry about dining out. No request was ever too much trouble - even with ridiculous flight times at 1am and 4am respectively, we were provided with breakfast items either in our room or in the beautiful dining room to ensure we were watered and fed for our journey ahead. Just simply brilliant service. Such beautiful decor and gardens too. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough!!

Room tip: The king suite is spectacular!

This lovely small hotel exceeded our expectations. From the manager, Paola, to the rest of the staff we were given the best possible service. They helped us with all our travel needs, arranging for a car and driver to take us wherever we wanted to go. The rooms ar e huge and beautifully furnished. We stayed here for 3 nights, went to the Galapagos Islands, and returned for 2 more nights. It's an easy walk to old town; however, cabs are very cheap if you don't want to walk. We had several dinners at hotel restaurant and the food was excellent, appropriately priced. We would definitely stay here again should we return to Quito.

Room tip: We preferred a ground floor room due to altitude adjustment, but all the rooms are lovely.

My family and I lodge at the Mansion of the Angel for three days. There treats itself about a hotel boutique that has 15 rooms, recently improved, a time ago behind knew it as the Palace Cordobez, this hotel is located near the historical center of Quito.

Unlike the hotel chains, the treatment is much more personalized nicely and, in addition, one really feels as guest in a palace. From ours I arrive, Andrew (and the rest of the personnel) made us feel like in house. We could see several rooms to choose them in agreement to our taste and they all are wide very well decorated with agreeable details.

The included breakfast is very good and rich, there are safety box, bottles of water and Wi Fi without post. Unlike other hotels that do not possess any things, the photos that are seen in the web page correspond with the reality. The dinners in the hotel have been always disfrutables and we have been attended by amiability (even they served us out of schedule with a smile).

I recommend the tea of the evenings, which has allowed us to report and to spend very pleasing moments with other guests. Already getting dark, the service of preparation of the bed is one more detail of good taste. When it was cold, it was absent neither the electrical blanket nor the hot water bottles!

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful. The decor is really nice as the entire property feels like someone’s well kept home.

The included breakfast is lovely and the birds seem to chirp more than usual when it is raining outside. Walk around the beautiful gardens outside the breakfast area. If you're back from sight seeing or meetings by 5 PM, have tea in the upstairs lounge area — it is quite nice.

The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is large. There is free wifi of course.

I definitely recommend this place - although, not to take away from this lovely hotel, I'd also consider the boutique hotel Patio Andaluz as an alternative. It is in a much more convenient location, and seems quite nice as well. We had lunch there and quite enjoyed it. But I don’t have the personal experience to know if it would outshine the Mansion del Angel.

The General Manager, Pahola Haro, is very in-tune to the operation. In the unlikely case you have any problems, just ask her. But, in our experience, all the staff were quite accommodating.
