Casa el Eden is beautifully restored, has modern bathrooms, and is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fabulous and a highlight of the morning. Mario and Blanca go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have an authentic and memorable experience in Quito. I walked in as a stranger and left feeling like I had dear friends in Quito. I would highly recommend Casa el Eden and hope to return soon!

We loved this hotel! It was recommended to us by our friends, and I'm so glad we stayed here. Great location in the city - we walked most places, or took a $5 cab downtown. Our room was impeccable and the owners were so nice. They helped us get a cab, gave directions when needed, and made a great breakfast! We really enjoyed our couple of nights at Casa el Eden and would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Quito!

Casa El Eden (CEE) was WONDERFUL in every way. After booking, the CEE team easily arranged airport transfer upon request. Our flight got in late but the driver was waiting and pointed out different landmarks and Quito facts as we drove.

When we arrived at CEE, owner Mario was there to greet us and show us to our room. The Spanish Colonial style B&B was cozy and beautiful with all floors looking down onto a central courtyard. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The street noise was audible but not sleep-inhibiting.

Breakfast was lovely with fresh bread and jam, cafe con leche, eggs cooked to your liking and fresh blended juice. We were always full when we left the table! Mario and his wife Blanca were friendly and helpful with recommendations on what to see and do around the city. Mario also helped us practice our Spanish, and we enjoyed chatting with him.

The B&B itself is centrally located. We could walk 5 minutes to the museums and churches in Old Town. It was also a short cab ride or scooter ride to the other sites like the virgin of Quito, the botanic gardens, the Observatory and more. Speaking of scooters, Mario let us park ours inside the lobby for no additional charge as street parking was non-existent. If we wanted to relax, there is a nice rooftop lounge area with cerveza and a great view!

Bottom line- we felt very at home, the owners are friendly and welcoming and the establishment itself is tasteful, quiet and clean. Not to mention the beautiful architecture. I'm sure there are other great places to stay in Quito, but we are loyal CEE fans now and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we travel to Quito. Stop searching and book your stay ASAP. Casa El Eden is THE place to stay when you're in town!

Thanks Mario (and Blanca) for your hospitality.

My husband and I booked this place because it is #1 for B&B in the old town of Quito. We had no idea what to expect because I do not recall ever staying in an actual B&B before. We got here and it was just wonderful. The service is top notch. The people who run the place are really sweet. The Breakfast is quite big and they even have a terrace on the 4th floor you can go to and sit at; complete with refreshments including beer. The rooms are very modern with big windows and glass showers (we stayed in a King bedroom) and you even get a little safe for your valuables. The security is good, the front door is locked at all times and you have a key.

It really is a fantastic place and a great deal. I felt so relaxed there I even took a nap and that's something I almost never do :) It's also close by to Plaza Grande, a key square where you can find lots of tourist and attractions.

P.s - There's a Chinese food restaurant across the street. The chef is a big off, and you may order something and get something totally different. The food is ok; but be prepared for a bit of a surprise.

Room Tip: King rooms have glass showers. Great for couples.
