I was extremely impressed by this hotel in all regards. First, they gave us a free upgrade for being Expedia VIP, and the room was wonderful. Two full rooms (not separated by door, but with a hallway), desk so I could work, beautiful bathroom with a tub (the shower was a bit oddly designed, but that was a minor thing). Comfortable king bed.
The staff was friendly and wonderful and they permitted us a late check out so we didn't have to sit around before we left for airport. The spa was very nice (I got a scrub), and I was just overall very impressed. One reviewer said there is no bolt lock, but there WAS a bolt lock on our door so many he/she just did not know how to use it (it's located underneath the door handle). I had no issues with security and felt very safe there.
Also, location is great if you don't want to be in the more tourist-y old town (which is also beautiful, but not what we wanted). It's more of a "business" neighborhood, but close to an amazing park and beautiful botanical gardens (5-10 minute walk). There are tons of restaurants nearby and it's a $4-5 cab ride to the historic area.
Overall, one of my best hotel experiences in a long time, especially for the price!

It has passed 12am. I’m writing this review because I’m painfully awake thanks to the loud party going on upstairs. We stay at 12th floor. There is a bar on the upper floor. We tried to sleep for almost 2hrs but just couldn’t. We called the front desk, the guy said he would send someone to solve the problem but till now nothing happened yet. It is a shame that a 5-Star hotel do not take this into consideration.

Other than that, I still have no idea what hotel rating system Quito has, but this is not a 5-Star hotel in any way.

The room itself is spacious, but definitely not finished as a 5-Star hotel room. That might be fine but plumbing, flushing noises can be heard easily from next door.

More than that, we are concerned about the security. There is no inside physical lock. Staff can unlock the door and enter the room even when we are in the room. It happened to us twice when staff were trying to send chocolate.

I’m glad this is the last night we are staying. Otherwise I will for sure switch to a different hotel.

Dear Ivy,
Thank you for letting us know how was your experience with us. I am sorry for the inconveniences caused during your visit. We take our guests comments very serious so we did a proper follow up of your stay.
Regarding the inside physical lock, there is one located in the back of your door. During the check in, the bellboy not only helps you with your luggage but explains everything about the hotel services and your room. When you checked in, you denied any help from the bellboy. We would have been more than happy to help you clarify your concerns about security inside the hotel during the 6 days that you stayed with us.
I really appreciate your feedback since it helps us improve our services. We will definitely take them in consideration to improve the hotels quality.

Kind Regards,

Had a fantastic few days in Quito. Le Parc is a beautiful hotel and we were very satisfied with our stay and loved the staff. Gabriella was extremely helpful in booking trips for us and general information. We had two drivers/tour guides arranged by the hotel - Byron and Ivan. They were both excellent and we really enjoyed our days out with them and at very reasonable costs. All the staff we encountered were helpful and polite - thank you to Stalin, Edwin and Jane who were all very helpful, especially considering our useless Spanish speaking skills. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in
Quito.

Even though we booked a log time in advance and arranged airport transportation by the hotel it all started with a problem. No-one was waiting at arrivals so we had the info desk at the airport contact the hotel to ask if the driver was there to pick us up. They said he should be but when we double checked we still found no-one. A second call was made and this time we were told the driver was 10 minutes away but we could just as well (same price) take a taxi. In fact, they insisted that the taxi was just as good... I guess there was no driver on his way?
It took 1.5 hours to get to the hotel because of busy traffic and road blocks but we finally made it.
The hotel offered a fruit basket and dessert for the inconvenience of letting us down at the airport.
Our room at the 12th floor was spacious and quiet except for a few hours in the evening when the bar (13th floor?) was open. Given the 6 hour time difference we slept anyway ;-)
No problems at breakfast, there was plenty of choice and eggs were made to order by friendly staff.
When we checked out we were driven to the airport in the hotel shuttle, this time it took only about 40 minutes.

The hotel motto is " a home away from home." Everything is great at this hotel: the people, the rooms, the showers, the décor. Le Parc hotel is elegant at an amazing price. You could find the same type of elegance at luxury hotels in Quito, but you would pay higher prices. The hotel is located in a very convenient location close to all the city's attractions. The shower room is ample and the water stream just perfect. Everything at this hotel is great.

Room Tip: Choose rooms at higher floors looking east
