The showers were hot and nice. Location was good. Little shop on the main level for the basics (water candy etc) Really nice staff let me check out very late as I had an emergency. thank you to the staff at Prisma! <3

The hotel is in a great location for exploring Cusco, it's a short walk to good restaurants. The rooms could use some updating but they are very clean. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very helpful. The breakfast that is included is amazing lots of different options. We also had dinner at the hotel and it was fantastic.

We are comparing this hotel with comparable 2 or 3 star hotels we stayed at during out 2 ½ weeks in Peru. Unfortunately La Prisma was far from the best.
PRISMA HOTEL, Cusco
A very small room. Bathroom nice but no shelves. Clean. Worst breakfast to date. Definitely one level below every other place to date. Also very noisy inside and out. Walls thin.
Stayed again 08-09 Feb. Our guide asked hotel to give us different room. Room was very comfortable with balcony. Breakfast still lacking - limited fruit selection: no melons, oranges or mandarins. Every other hotel offers eggs - scrambled or omelet. 2/5

We stayed at Prisma Hotel twice, once on the way to Machu Picchu and again on the way back.

The property as a whole is beautiful and rather unusual and unique. There are a lot of common areas all over which is nice to socialise. It is also well located within easy walking distance to the main square of Cusco.

The rooms however are quite basic and there are no extras, not even tea and coffee. But they do have safes and European plugs.

We slept very little in the first room (401) - it overlooked a main atrium and there is very little noise (or temperature) insulation, so the room was very noisy - guests in the lobby moved furniture and we heard every scrape and every word of their conversations. The showerhead was so dirty that water sprayed everywhere but straight, and the shower drain was blocked. The bathroom layout was awkward. Not all windows had curtains and light came into the room the whole night from the corridor.

The second room (321) was much better - cleaner, newer and quiet; allowing for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was also bigger and better laid out with a properly cleaned shower.

WIFI in the rooms and common areas also came and went.

Breakfast had a wide selection, but only the rolls (though there was no jam), fruit and yoghurt were any good. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was very good and the whole group enjoyed

Room Tip: There are two halves to the hotel - try for the half up the stairs to the right as you enter, and not those up the stars behind reception

The Prisma Hotel has beds. The Prisma Hotel has toilets that work, sort of. The Prisma Hotel has wifi that doesn't work unless you're in the lobby. The Prisma Hotel has paper-thin walls, and the first night we were there the guy in the room next to us was hoarking up a storm for the first fifteen minutes we were awake. And having said that, two things: one, it has a weird sort of charm; and two, after the Inca Trail we would've slept on concrete. Which, all things considered, we sort of did at the Prisma Hotel.
