The hotel is well located near the centre of Cusco and easy walking distance to the best sights. The rooms are also clean and perfectly adequately decorated. However the breakfast was very basic - and to be frank not really worth waking up for (some stale bread, basic selection of hot food, poor quality juice and undrinkable coffee). Additionally the bedding was heavy and not very comfortable and hot water ran out after our group returned from hiking which caused great annoyance. Additionally sound proofing was nill at this hotel. The rooms look out onto a pretty courtyard but windows are basic and thus you can hear everything that happens once people leave their door. Overall a perfectly average 2* hotel but very much in that category. The staff were always friendly, you can leave bags there for a few days and free tea was a plus.

Dear Richard,
Thank you for your comments, our juices are one of the favorite parts of our buffet and the coffee is strong for that reason the buffet includes hot water to mix with the strong coffee, we are so sorry if your stay was not the better.

Have a nice weekend!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, with hot water showers. Located in a great area, within walking distance to all the tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. Breakfast included and is extensive. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception area always has hot water for cocoa tea. Front desk can arrange quick laundry service at a reasonable price.

Upon our 5 am arrival, we were given hot water with cocoa leaves which helps with altitude sickness. I was fine but my husband was quite ill. I went to SEPIA restaurant and bought chicken soup which the hotel gladly heated for us that evening. They kept checking on us to see how we were doing. The staff is so kind. We stayed here 2 nights before going to Machu Pichu then again last night before flying to Lima. They gave us information, called cabs and were WONDERFUL. Clean rooms, great breakfast...highly recommend.

Room Tip: lower rooms easier to walk up to due to altitude effects

Front desk staff here are excellent. Here's why:
1. they speak english - extremely well. I speak spanish, but when I'm tired, it's nice to be lazy and not translate in my head
2. they are extremely knowledgeable - this includes all things Cusco, restaurant recommendations, sites, etc.
3. they are happy to help with any concierge-type tasks - arranging taxis, local travel, day-trips, etc.

Rooms are VERY clean and well appointed. Clean, comfortable bedding and a spacious shower with extremely hot water and great water pressure.

Location is good, 10-15 minute walk from the main plaza along a safe and scenic route

Expect a LOT of VALUE for the price of your room. We stayed before and after our trip to Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes). It's recommended to take minimal luggage on the train to MP, so they held our bags at no charge until our return. They did not ask us for payment until our final checkout (after leaving and returning for MP) which makes for a very easy transaction!

This was honestly our favorite hotel from the 4 places we stayed in Peru. Can't say enough good things!

Room Tip: hotels in Cusco do not have climate control - request an interior - facing room to minimize street noise when sleeping with window open

With only 24 rooms, they still found time to renovate using jack hammers. Otherwise a nice stopover. Within easy walking distance to shops and eateries. As a volunteer for the Las Vegas Metro PD I trade patches with any local police that I am near. Cusco was a real treat. Just a few words on how we got in to see the commandant. After we found the police station and went to the entrance which was guarded by a squad of policemen with full automatic weapons. I explained what I wanted to do as best I could because no one spoke English and finally of the younger policeman was assigned to take me into see the commandant. Walking through the courtyard we arrived at the Commandant door the policeman stepped up to the door came to attention knocked on the door three times, saluted and said whatever he said and the Commandant came to the door and a more gracious man I have never met. A total gentleman and we did swap patches and badges.

Room Tip: With only 24 rooms the choices are slim
