Central location, very close to Plaza de Armas (although for eating out or night life is much better to go to Miraflores). After seing the pictures on booking.com, this hotel was not what we expected. Hotel is old and quite shabby, very basic old equipment. We had dirty feet from the carpets. Compared to wonderful accommodation for less money in other parts of Peru, this was great dissapointment. Breakfast is served and very simple. Wifi did not work well all the time.

We stayed here for 3 nights and although the experience wasn't terrible, there is a lot of room for improvement.
The arranged airport transfer never materialised, meaning we ended up taking a taxi instead. Once at the hotel, the room and bathroom were fairly spacious, however, the floor was gritty and could have done with a thorough clean. Breakfast was nothing special, just bread and fruit with a choice of drinks.
The location of the Kamana itself is good, with a bank and a supermarket close by, and the main plazas in Lima no more than a 10 minute walk away. The guard on the door also makes you feel a lot safer, especially at night.
On our departure, the taxi the hotel arranged arrived half an hour late - attention to detail in this place is lacking, but for 3 nights and the fairly good price we paid, it was fine.

The hotel is a nice stay located close to the centre of Lima.
Breakfast was included and was substantial and the room was comfortable with everything we needed. The front desk staff were also very helpful and the porter was a very pleasant man.

clean hotel, centrally located in lima so works for anyone wanting to be close to the centre. security seems pretty good too.

dont expect to find luxury or great furnishings, the hotel is functional and serves its purpose.

This hotel does have a dated feel to it and the rooms do feel tried with dated furniture, but they are large, the bed was comfortable and we found plenty of hot water in the shower - the room was also extremely clean.
If what is important to you is a central location and to be in the middle of a town, within a 10 min walk of many of the attractions this hotel fits the bill. The central pedestrian area is also only 5 min walk away. We felt safe walking around (obviously being sensible as we would in any major city), people were friendly and helpful, as were the hotel staff.
The breakfasts are relatively expensive for the usual roll, jam, egg and possibly fruit breakfast but there are several local small cafes nearby who also offer that style of breakfast slightly cheaper, and if you need something more western there is a Starbucks in the main pedestrian street.
If you are looking for a thriving tourist area, with few locals around, and a cafe and bar culture this may not be the hotel for you - if you like being in the thick of it with the locals it might well suit and is reasonably priced.

Room Tip: The front rooms can be very noisy, Lima is not a quiet city - if you live in a bustling city it's ok, if not ask for a room at the back.
