I liked the ambience, we got indoor table overlooking the ocean and that was a plus

Food was good and it’s modernized so if you are looking for more traditional food, it is not the right place.
The prices are comparable to surrounding restaurants. Be aware that they charge you service fee, those are random fees that can be up to 18%. Not clear on the reasoning though.
Overall it was nice experience.

We went to two different Tanta’s across Peru with my tour group including this one. Everyone else was happy with their meal, apparently it’s Peruvian food for Peruivan’s, but I can’t say I really enjoyed it. Here I had the pasta and asked for it (in Spanish) with no cheese as I am vegan, it came out with cheese and by the time it was rectified everyone else had finished their meal.

Had an egg appetizer and was good. Rice with chicken was tasty. Chocolate dessert a bit underwhelming. View in front of the ocean marvelous. View put it at 4 stars instead of 3 for me.

I ordered the ceviche appetizer, which was amazing. I only wish it was offered as an entree rather than just an appetizer. Can’t get enough of it!

Great setting in the Larcomar - was able to enjoy dinner while watching the sun set over the Pacific.

Tanta is a lively open air (but under cover) restaurant in the glamorous shopping area of Larcomar, down on the beach below the Marriott Hotel (qv). We tried various restaurants in Lima but always came back to Tanta for its fresh food, straightforward and friendly service, and delicious and inventive drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You might have to wait a little for a table at busy times, but the bar is excellent, and the national drink - the pisco sour - a terrific way to start the evening. Pure rocket fuel. Tanta's ceviche (chunks of sea bass marinated in lime juice) is outstanding, and with the accompanying vegetables is a delicious meal on its own. Very highly recommended.
