Time and again I've read that Uruguayans shy away from spicy foods, and my own experiences seem to bear that out. So, if you like spicy as I do, Tandory will make you dance a happy dance! The bread opener is accompanied by both a soft cheese spread and some honest-to-heaven salsa that will wake up your taste buds. The empanada appetizer was notable for its strawberry glaze but was not otherwise exceptional. The shrimp curry however, was outstanding: a wonder of balanced spice and ingredients; possibly the best curry I've ever eaten. The deconstructed Martin Fierro dessert was very, very good and surprisingly light.
