I've been to the hotel as a head of a group.
The hotel located not far from the city center, about 20 minutes of walking, near a few museums and historical places.
The hotel looks that trying to be more modern but the style is a bit old fashion as well as Soviet.
The costumer service is depend on the part of the hotel - the reception is very welcoming g and VERY helpful, but the personal of the dining room a bid cold and rude.
The rooms are wide enough but the shower is small. Without any welcoming kit at the rooms. Has refrigerator,TV and free WiFi for which you get the password at the reception.
No electronic key, and the regular has heavy key holder.

Overall feeling- could be better.

They were very nice to upgrade my room to top floor. Staff kind, sincere, very honest. Barbershop is good. Sauna was closed, pool empty of water and being renovated. The "relax center closed."

Wi Fi very spotty and weak. Wifi does not work in lobby. There are signs that say business center. There is no business center. There are no hot water pots in room, you must request it. Ice only available in bar.

Lobby marble very nice. Staff beautiful and kind. Floors, room very clean.

I hope manager reads this review and fixes wifi, fixes business center, and puts high speed internet router on each floor. They advertise "free wifi", Business center, and spa. I had to go to another hotel to use wifi.

They could be great hotel, as location good, and very clean. In October 2017 the business traveler should avoid.

We booked this place because it was the cheapest place that had wifi within walking distance of town. The rooms were clean but small with bad bathrooms, lightweight toilet seats and leaking showers, the lobby was huge and poorly lit at night, the bar was equally souless and badly lit. The included breakfast was barely edible. It advertises sauna, pool and fitness but at additional cost!

Room tip: to choose a nice room, choose a different hotel

We've spent 3 nights in Planeta hotel while visiting Minsk, Niasvizh and Mir. The location is quite central but be aware that Minsk is a city of huge distances, so to get to the nearest metro station you need a 15 minutes walk. The hotel itself is huge, quite empty but very clean. The staff was polite, helpful and spoke good English. We've chosen a room with no breakfast included but decided to pay for the breakfast additionally as there was no place in the nearest proximity to have something in the morning. The breakfast costs 10 dollars and is not worth its price. Some of the food looked simply old. Our double room was small but comfy. Should you need anything like food or drink, don't forget to buy it before you come to the hotel as the hotel bar is terribly expensive (a small bottle of water costs 4 euro and a big bottle of beer just 2,5... that's ridiculous, isn't it?) and the nearest shop is quite far away. Anyway the whole stay was pleasant and I would recommend this hotel mostly because of the nice staff and good Wi-Fi.
