What a great place to stay if you don't need the lap of luxury. Located in El Escalon across from the Crown Plaza, near the business district and not far from many restaurants, this is an excellent spot for a quiet, down to earth stay. There are only 8 rooms and it's best to stay in the ones farthest from the restaurant and reception if you want the most quiet, i.e., 7 and 8. The ones are spacious with 2 or 3 beds and adequate, but far from luxurious. Wifi works all over the single floor where the rooms and breakfast room are. There's a terrace outside which is quite pleasant for breakfast or working during the day as it is covered and shaded from sun. Breakfasts are basic but good. The staff are just lovely and go out of their way to help. At night a vigilante (guard) opens the door for you. But until the evening, if you can't find anyone at reception, you can either call or ring the bell for service.

A great little place to stay, and it appears to be popular with business people and others who, once they discover it, always go back. I would too.

Room tip: Stay in numbers 7 or 8 for the greatest quiet as they are furthest from the restaurant and reception.

So happy to have found this hotel.

We checked out this morning and we had a great stay here.

It is spotlessly clean and well looked after.

It's in a great, safe area Colina Escalon. It's right opposite the Crown Plaza Hotel where people are paying 3 or 4 times what you will be.

The owner/manager speaks excellent English and is really helpful, she gave us ideas of places to visit and see.

The breakfast was included in our cheap rate (we paid $65 usd for a room for 2 adults and 1 kid).

The rest of the staff are genuinely friendly and will go out of the way to help you get cheap cabs, find restaurants and offer advice.

Great place, safe and secure and you can walk to nearby restaurants.

Room tip: we stayed in room 1 which was a little dark, the other rooms overlook the (quiet) street,go for those.

It just dawned on me that we never reviewed this hotel from our stay back in March 2013. This place was awesome. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. There was amazing coffee (roasted on location!) on the first level of the hotel and they also made pretty tasty sandwiches and papusas until about 5pm. The Plaza Futura was a 1 minute walk (but that place was mostly a ghost town....only tourists and overpriced food). There was an armed security guard on location which made us feel pretty safe. The rooms were spotless clean and apart from the hotel turning off our AC while we were gone...I have no complaints. Overall, excellent place...near perfect...we would stay here again.

Room tip: Doors are thin, so if your room is close to the check-in desk...you will hear people.

After the fiasco of having had all of my gear stolen, near the beach, this excellent hotel went a long way to soothe some very hurt feelings on my part and restored my faith in the population of El Salvador, who are, from all I can tell, suffering losses at the hand of criminals on a daily basis. This place is totally secure and in a very safe part of the city. It is located across from the World Trade Center and the Crowne Point Hotel and surprised me with its cool and elegant interior. Service is wonderful, the place is spotless, and coffee and breakfast is included. They will arrange safe transportation for you, too. I surmise that because of their location, the majority of their clients are business people. There are also bus connections that can take you to the shopping mall and movie theaters. Arbol de suenos is a nice, small hotel in San Salvador, a couple blocks from the World Trade Center and the mall " PLAZA FUTURA" that has various Restaurants and not to forget is one of the best areas of San Salvador ( La Escalon). In front of Arbol de Suenos, is also the hotel " Crown Plaza." Arbol de suenos is a hotel that would best suit someone who wants privacy, or that wants to relax. The lady that works at the front desk is not always present like other hotels, this is due to the fact that she multitasks, she cooks, and cleans, etc. When I was there it was nice and quiet. PROS: Clean, great location, cable (English Channels), WI-FI, great rate, food menu is cheaper than other hotels, A/C, and hot water. CONS: the receptionist( the lady I mentioned above) is not always going to be there in the front desk, so you need to call from your room if you need food or if you have a request. Also, if you need a cab, the receptionist can call a taxi cab if you need one. I really enjoyed this mini hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax by yourself or with your partner.
