We landed in Managua at night and had to stay a night before heading to the coast. We stayed here one night. The hotel had arranged for a ride to pick us up at the airport but they were not there so we had to get a cab our selves. We were a bit annoyed but when we arrived at the hotel the owner was apologetic and truly felt bad for the mix up. That meant a lot to us!
The hotel is beautifully decorated with gorgeous artwork and furniture throughout. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned with a nice bed.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and you can choose between fresh fruit, toast and jam with coffee and juice or a typical Nicaraguan breakfast of rice/beans, plantain, eggs and cheese.
The kids and I were able to enjoy the pool in the heat of the day! It was very refreshing.
The internet wi-fi is reliable and included. The kids really liked that!
We were able to arrange taxis with the hotel staff and they even ordered food in for us the first night we were there since the hotel does not have a restaurant. We did order beer from them though!

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend staying here.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 and again in room 9. Both upstairs, both quiet.

This is clean, safe and friendly hotel in Managua. Stayed for 2 nights. Pool area is nice, rooms are big, clean and have towels also for pool area. No need to buy water as filtered water is provided in pitchers. Nice local breakfast and good coffee. Bit over priced and far from city, but there is not much to see in Managua but would work well as pitstop hotel before flights.

We stay here for our final 2 nights in Nicaragua. The hotel is attractive, safe, quiet and clean. The staff are helpful. I would go back.

The location is not central. They offer one meal for dinner each night, but if you happen to be a vegetarian or otherwise uninterested in the one option, you need to call a cab to a restaurant. The hotel is about 35 minutes via cab from airport (without trafffic).

Stayed for 4 night on business - it is a charming place, lots of old world character. My room (#6) was huge, and with a very comfortable bed.

The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was very nice. Dinner was basic, but good. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return - but will stay away from the overpriced beers - they charged me almost $10 / beer - what a rip off.

We arrived at Villa Maya with no reservation after just reading about it on Trip Advisor. We were lucky a room was available. The property was absolutely beautiful and the staff was really nice and helpful. We had lunch and dinner and they were very good although the price was pretty high for our backpacker budget.
It was nice to relax at this hotel at the end of our trip around Nicaragua. I would return for sure.
