The Westin Playa Bonita hotel exceeds expectations and the service is fabulous!! I would like to write this review for anyone that is contemplating- don’t doubt it, THIS HOTEL IS AWESOME! I have stayed at the Westin Playa Bonita for many years( maybe over 20 times ) this is my go-to place always to escape the city and relax for short 1-3 day stays.
This hotel continues to impress me as each time I stay there, my experience is even better then the last. It offers a “all inclusive “ concept but remains with top quality amenities and hotel rooms that maintain a feel of luxury. The rooms are equipped with luxury amenities and the grounds are very well taken care of and maintained.
The service is personalized and top notch- each employee at this hotel works very hard to sustain the Westin’s great reputation and quality of service.
My reservation was personally handled by Miriam Pinto, who continuously goes out of her way always- to ensure my stay is always special and memorable... she is single handedly the best “rooms division manager” I’ve met. She is courteous and professional, always going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction and that my stay is pleasant.
It is because of Miriam Pinto, that I continue to return to this hotel and that it remains my #1 choice for my getaways.

Mr. Edgar at the reception desk was there to check me in and is always courteous, he speaks both Spanish and English fluently and made sure the check in to the hotel was smooth. He even went the extra mile to help me out during my stay when I
needed a document to be printed out (work related) and he graciously helped me with that right at the reception desk with no questions asked. You could tell it was his pleasure to help the guests with whatever they may need and goes the extra mile with customer service.
I will mention also that the bar service by the pool is fabulous. Marcos Saturno who is the bartender with help from Elidia, the waitress served yummy cocktails and always made sure I was served quickly and with grace. Marcos really is definition of “amable” he is funny and is in a good mood always- his positive energy is contagious! All of the bartenders and waiters always had smiles on their faces all the time and were extremely courteous.
The food at the starfish restaurant was excellent and the waiters Joel Vasquez and Ingrid and Mr. Roberto worked very hard to seat, serve food and drinks to the guests. I was always greeted by them by my personal name which me feel at home and made my stay feel very personalized and unique.
I also had the pleasure of going to the spa where I had an exfoliation treatment and a wonderful massage by Yaricelis- she is fantastic. Every time I go to the spa, I always request her. She gives an amazing relaxation massage and has worked at the hotel for many years. It is obvious that she is a very experienced masseuse.
Also important to mention, that the hotel is extremely compliant to COVID19 bio security and safety precautions. I always felt safe and that everything was sanitized and cleaned properly - the staff are continuously compliant to the protocols and ensure that the guests do as well ( practicing social distancing, mask regulations, sanitization) they work very hard to follow the safety guidelines in a very professional and eloquent manner.
Overall, my stays at the Westin Playa bonita continue to be fantastic ... ! This hotel is the gem in Panama and is only 15 minutes from the city. I highly recommend staying here for anyone that is visiting panama or residents in panama looking to get away for a few days. Everything about it will exceed your expectations.
