Minutes away from PTY/Tocumen airport. Conveniently centered in the City Of Panama. Walking distance to the metro, shops, restaurants, you name it! Breakfast every morning and spectacular views from the rooms. My go to hotel!!!!

Too expensive! Not very friendly staff, especially towards foreigners! The rooms are not very clean. New part of hotel is good but old hotel building is in very poor condition. in our friend’s room, even the lights blinked. One plus is that the hotel is located in the city center.

Good place, but if you want to watch US news, the only choice you have is Fox News. Really nauseating. BBC is available, but couldn't believe that the only choice you'd have for US English news would be the Fox News sh_t.

Room tip: Only Fox News Available as far as US news.

I have been at Torres de Alba for the last three year whenever I visit my beautiful home country, Panama. It amazes me how they keep the same quality of service and cleanliness in the rooms.
The staff is very kind and well trained, I think this is the nature of the hotel staff and I really like it.

The hotel location is convenient as there are many restaurants, some bars, casinos and the Metro station at waking distance.

The price includes breakfast which yummy and different every day, That cant be beaten.

Don't think it twice. If you stay here once, you will come back for sure.

The room is spacious with a separate big bathroom, kitchen? laundry area and a comfortable living room.

Room tip: Tower 1 is quiet and close to the breakfast area.

My wife and I have been traveling to Panama since 2003. We have stayed in various hotels and hostels around the city. Since 2012, Torres de Alba has been our "go to" location in the city.

Here's why:

The rooms are more than hotel rooms. They are apartments with a separate bedroom, a combination living room/dining room with a large couch (great for another person) and a complete kitchen with washer and dryer. You may not think much of having a washer and dryer, but in this climate and if you're doing any touring, having a dryer is a blessing. All this and a complete, Panamanian breakfast buffet for $82 a night can't be beat. (Oh. Forgot to mention there is also a good gym and a pool.)

As for the location, it's a great place to be in Panama. El Cangrejo is a mostly residential area. You don't need to worry about security. In the evening, you'll pass by residents walking their dogs or going to and from the many restaurants, or picking up some ice cream or whatnot from a local "chino."

Add to that a very large variety of very good restaurants that are all within easy walking distance, and this really makes El Cangrejo and Torres de Alba a great location. You'll find everything from very inexpensive Panamanian with great people watching (Manolo's) to Panama's most most famous Panamanian restaurant (El Trapiche) to Italian (El Pomodoro) to great Argentine steaks (Martin Fierro) to Peruvian (Puntarenas and Mar de Grau) to local beer pub (Bros and Beers and La Rana Dorada) ... well, you get the idea.

We will be back.

Here's one catch: There are four rooms on each floor: If you want a quiet room, make sure the ending number is "1" or "3." Here's how the room numbering system works: Tower 1 rooms are "10XX." Tower 2 rooms are "20XX." and tower 3 rooms are "30XX." So, a quiet room in tower 1 (closest to breakfast) would be 1093. 10 = tower 1. 93 = 9th floor, room 3.

Room tip: For a quiet room, make sure the room number ends with "1" or "3."
