We had a wonderful two days/nights at La Isabela. To start, Andres was amazingly helpful beginning from when we made our reservation - reaching out via email to offer assistance with reservations, ideas, etc. He also explained that our rooms were in a different building and ensuring we were ok with that. Our room (executive suites) was gorgeous - with a full kitchen, you could easily stay there long-term. The air conditioner was amazing for the hot, humid weather - it more than kept up, in fact we got cold during the night! A great relief from our days walking around the city. The balcony overlooking Plaza Simon Bolivar was beautiful, we spent each night sitting out there, enjoying the sights and sounds of Casco Viejo. The price was - coming from an American - extremely low for the level of service and meticulous state of the rooms (about $120/night).

In short, I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Casco experience. The hotel itself does not have amenities - but Andres and staff were so incredibly welcoming, and we felt like we really experienced Casco Viejo.

Room tip: Executive suites are in a different building a few blocks away, overlooking Plaza Simon Bolivar

We just returned from our trip to Panama and had a wonderful stay at their sister property, the Columbia Hotel. Andres was very helpful leading up to our arrival and during the stay. He provided us with guidance on where to go and things to do in the area. We had a one bedroom apartment with two floors and a balcony overlooking Bolivar plaza. Good restaurants on the plaza by the hotel and good music on the weekends.
We really liked that we could walk to everything in this neighborhood. Dinner at Lo Que Hay was great, recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Every time we travel to Panama we stay at La Isabela Suites because we know the service and the rooms will be 5 stars and above! Andres is always very friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile to make our trip enjoyable. The location is great and in walking distance to everything you want to see and do in Casco.

La Isabela Suites was our home base for 5 nights in Casco Viejo, and we couldn't have asked for more. We stayed in the restored Columbia Hotel property overlooking Bolivar Plaza. Our suite (#103) had a huge balcony overlooking the plaza, and we were treated to great music every evening from the musicians who were entertaining the people dining outdoors. The two-level suite was very well-appointed and modern in every way. Most of all, Andres, the manager, made our stay truly special, as he was so incredibly helpful. We arrived at 10:00PM, and with the curfew in place right now, most restaurants close at that time. We called ahead and Andres put in an order for us at the Casablanca restaurant that is on the first floor of the Hotel Columbia building. The restaurant was waiting for us and served us a delicious meal. Without Andres' great help we would have been eating leftover airline snack food. Thanks so much for a great stay, Andres and staff!

Room tip: Suite 103 has an amazing view of Bolivar Plaza.
