We stayed here for 3 nights and were really impressed with the decor, friendly service and high quality of the room. The location is perfect, if a little noisy at times. If you are wanting high quality accomodation in a location very close to the bars, harbour and old town then we would definitely recommend.

Excellent location, extremely warm and kind hosts. Very helpful and accommodating. Room was very well renovated in one of the beautiful, old buildings in Split. Located in a pedestrian only area, so heads up if you have a car rental. Also of note, no elevator, so must be be ok with stairs. They assist with this, however - they sent someone to meet me at a drop off point close to the hotel who carried my luggage up the stairs at checkin, and back down upon check out. Overall, 5/5!

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2017. We arrived early but were told they would make sure our room would be ready for 1pm even though check in was 2pm, which was great.

Location was spot on, 2 mins from the promenade area and all the sites to see were close by.

The room was really clean, as was the bathroom.

Only downside was the street was a little noisy at the weekends in the evening which we could hear in our room.

Hosts were great too.

All round a good experience and would recommend a stay if visiting Split.

Spent 4 nights at the Marmontova Luxury Rooms in June. The room itself was very nicely presented, with a nice modern look, but also with areas showing the exterior walls, which is a nice touch. The room was comfortable, with enough space, nice beds, and a very effective, yet quiet air con machine. The location is just a couple of minutes walk from Diocletian's Palace and the the sea front, so all main Split attractions and public transport options were within easy walking distance.

The owners (a Husband and Wife, so a family business) were very welcoming, and allowed us to have the room key many hours before the official check-in time. They showed interest in our daily activities, and were very happy to answer questions about getting around the city and to near by locations (such as Trogir and Brac Island), as well as offer restaurant recommendations.

They offer no breakfast directly in the building, but have an arrangement with a restaurant directly on the sea front (Brasserie on 7), which offers nice breakfast options. This may be a negative, as it means walking a few minutes, but in Split there are many breakfast options, reasonable prices, so I enjoyed it more than a typical hotel Buffet.

Unfortunately there is no elevator, and the room was located on the third floor, so this may prove difficult for some, and it is located on a medium busy street (although no clubs are found nearby), so there was some noise, such as late street cleaning, but I never found the noise disrupt my sleep, nor hear anything later at night. With the good air con I kept the windows closed and slept well.

I would recommend Marmontova Luxury Rooms, and would stay there again. I'd also recommend Split, which is an amazing city full of so much history, and more than enough to do in Split, and nearby, that a week could easily be filled there. If you like Roman history or the medieval period, and Game of Thrones, it's a worthwhile place visiting.

Room Tip: Comfortable Room, Great Location, Helpful Owners

Marmontova is located in the pedestrian center of Split. Very convenient and in walking distance to restaurants and bars.
BUT if you arrive by car you cannot get there. You will have to find paid parking on one of the streets in about 10 min. walking distance and be at your car at 7am to feed the meter or use a parking garage. You do not get this information in your booking confirmation and Adriano from Marmontova doesn't bother to tell you even when you text and call, what we did. After carrying your luggage through the pedestrian zone you have 4 flight of stairs, no elevator. Don't expect Adriano to help.
We were treated in a very arrogant way and did not get any help or compensation for all the inconvenience we experienced. We haven't felt so unwelcome in a long time.
