we stayed at Hotel Slavija and found the position to be brilliant, along with cleanliness and exceptionally help full staff. breaky good too. very close to harbour and water front and all cafe's smack bang in the centre of the old town.they allowed us to store our luggage for a week while we did a Sail Croatia sail trip, would love to go back and would stay at Hotel Slavija again. highly recommend.

Room tip: ask for a room that's quiet from street below. although we had ours on the first floor over the cafe's and had no problem with noise.

Central, welcoming, delightful breakfast and good coffee and tea. Built on foundations of a roman building still exposed with the newer building. Remarkable. Beds are good. Balcony view overlooks the vibrant cafe culture in the laneways below. And very clean.

Superb location in the heart of the historic centre. Smart decor, well presented and clean throughout. Air conditioning was a huge benefit during our 3 night stay as temperatures 35-37 degrees. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rates a little on the high side although reasonable considering peak summer season.

This hotel is located on the territory of the Deoclitian Palace in Split. All historic sites are within walking distance from the hotel. There are tons of good restaurants around. Breakfast is included and the hotel restaurant is located where ancient Roman baths used to be. It is a neat place!

Perfectly central and, more important, all receptionists and restaurant waiters are extremely nice and helpful.
Also, worth saying that it is the oldest hotel in Split old town, even built on Roman baths!
