Lapad beach used to be a romantic place in the Uvala Bay with an old park with trees and a natural pebble beach. Along with the gentrification of the area, an investor convinced the city that a modern development would enhance the place. Instead of trees we now have a huge building block – all beton – with cafes, restaurants and terraces. All the charme is gone, but now more money is coming.

A beautiful beach with sunbeds to rent and bar service available. The pebble beach is clean and has a wide promenade area with toilet and change room facilities. Various cafe and restaurant choices are around the bay and a bustling restaurant/bar/market stall avenue leads you to the beach. On our first night, we wandered down the steep steps from our accommodation and were greeted by the spectacular sunset - enjoyed with a cocktail from the beach bar making the experience, clearly, perfection!

Lapad beach is a fairly average stoney beach located around a 40-50 minute walk from Dubrovnik's old town. The beach is OK if you want some chill out time after visiting Dubrovnik (although the beach does get quite busy) but is probably not recommended if you are looking to spend two weeks there.

Beach is rocky but beautiful. Lots of beach area and large playground for kids. Great view of the island with a light house. Lots of hotels. Awesome pedestrian walk around the cliffs.

Lapad Beach Dubrovnik is made up of several beaches along Lapad Bay. The beaches are made up of pebbles rather than sand. There are sun loungers but these are not free and you have to rent them for a day. Prices vary depending where the sun loungers are located. Sunset Beach is the new renovated beach with 90 million kunas spent on it. Here there are new bars and restaurants.
