In a three night stay, things started promisingly. the room was very small and facing onto the main square, but it was perfectly serviceable. The windows are not effective at masking noise from the square but this is to be expected. However the final night was a horrendous experience. The aircon failed to work and in a room with a tiny window (301) it was impossible to get any air through. in an initial attempt to flag this concern, the member of staff on the afternoon simply said 'it will start in 15 minutes, the system has overheated as lots of people are trying to use aircon'. further questioning indicated no other rooms were suffering this way. my request for a fan was reluctantly looked into, on discussion of potentially changing room, the member if staff said all rooms were fully booked. when I explianed that booking.com showed 3 rooms still available he said 'these were not the type of room we had booked'. there was no indication that despite the poor circumstances the hostel would be willing to look into solving the issue. the aircon did begin to work just before leaving for dinner (90 rather than 15 minutes later) return at 11.30pm, it was once again not working and this problem persisted for the entire night. the night porter was unable to assist and we were left with a hot, humid room with no aircon. not ideal and leaving me as I write this at 5.25am, having had less than an hours sleep with a 6am get up for a ferry. Deeply disappointing and such a shame, from check in until final evening it had been a perfectly reasonable stay, let down by a problem with aircon, but much more fundamentally some appalling customer service from the man on duty on the afternoon and evening of 22nd August 2017

Room Tip: test aircon and if not working, be assertive i demanding action

This isn't a "hostel." It's a wonderful, modern, clean oasis of a hotel perfectly situated next to a wonderful Roman arch. It's right in the old town, walk easily to the best sites of Pula. Easy 10 min walk from dock but about a $35 taxi ride from airport which is about 5 miles away.

No food or fridge but everything is really close-like, right across the plaza.

Overlooks a busy square at night but the new windows are nearly totally soundproof. We were in 101 over the square. Only muffled sounds. Great AC, marvelous helpful staff.

Worth the extra money. Comfy bed, crispy sheets. Just right.

This is a lovely hotel with great location. Spacious room with nice deco. From the windows you can see the lovely square, and close all kinds of restaurants, shops, bars. It can get a bit noisy since it is next to the square, but not very bad. Overall this is a great hotel.

This hotel is well run clean and a great central location. The parking is off site at cost 15€ or you can pay public parking . Our only issue was we booked with booking. Com and got an attic room with no view for the same price as a larger room with a view if we booked direct! A lesson learned! Staff friendly .

On a very popular street, it can be a bit noisy late at night if your room is on the street but by 11pm, quit again. It did not bother us too much as we were grateful for how easy and accessible it was for us to get anywhere. I can be a bit complicated for the parking and luggage transportation so we limited our bags for our 2 night say. We recommend this hotel or would go back anytime.
