Found the accommodation to be of a similar decent standard to guest houses in Thailand although at higher Luang Prabang prices. Room was clean, bed was king size and comfortable, bathroom was OK, though shower not great. Main problem (may seem petty but to me its important) was the awful wifi service to the room. Mostly non existent. Made a little worse by a totally unhelpful response from the reception staff. Also annoyed to find that reception wanted to retain your passport if you wanted to rent a hotel bicycle. This was way over and above the deposit requirements from other local renters where we had no residential connection. Hotel location is very good - centrally placed in the historic area. Breakfast was included - basic, but fine.

This charming guest house is located on a quiet street minutes from all the hot spots - temples, national museum, morning and night markets, tons of good bars and restaurants. The monks walk by every morning so you don't have to get up super early to offer rice. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are unbelievably clean! Seriously, I don't know how they do it! Wifi isn't the best in the room but works well closer to the lobby. Breakfast offers options like cereal, eggs, bread, and rice soup. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

Dear Ayesha H,
Greetings from Villa Chitdara.
Thank you for your kind message. My mother is always to try the best to make the rooms clean. We are now working on improving on Internet network/speed. Internet in Laos is still slow and not stable unfortunately.
Looking forward to see you again in our beautiful town.
Your sincerely.

Enjoyed a three night stay at Villa Chitdara. Staff were friendly and helpful and the owner was a charming lady. Room was more than adequate with good internet and air conditioning. We stayed in a ground floor room which was quiet and had a lovely small patio. Breakfast was simple but well presented. Location was excellent and it was an easy walk to Luang's many highlights. The opportunity to see the monks in the morning was an added bonus. Would certainly stay at Villa Chitdara again.

Villa Chitdara is in a quiet street, yet very close to LP's main attractions. As we needed a triple we could only get a room facing the street. That concerned us slightly nut for no reason. We had no street noise at all and slept very well in a beautiful well maintained room. The manager is very friendly and fluent in French and English. Only small negative point is that you get leftover baguette and cake from the day before if you go for breakfast early. Otherwise an excellent place.

Dear Bruno,
Greetings from villa chitdara.
Thank you for recommended us for our central location. Indeed, we are located on a small street walking distance of main attractions and restaurants of the town.
I will give the word to my mother.
I am sorry to hear you did not have your usual breakfast in early morning. Our restaurant is open from 07am to 10am and our fresh bread and bread (from le banneton) are delivered only from 07am.
Best regards,

This guest house was quite lovely with balconies, breakfast, and AC. It was centrally located and really overall a lovely place. The rooms are nice and simple and you take your shoes off before you enter. The property is lush and green and it really gives you a taste of Luang Prabang.
