I went to this place numerous times for breakfast. Once I got a taste of their coffee, croissants, omelettes, etc., I couldn't stay away because I couldn't find another (non-hotel) restaurant in town that quite met the same standards. Also, they were always open early & ready for business right away, and offer a spacious, clean, really lovely atmosphere, with a nice view of the street.
Truly delicious eggs and coffee drinks and brioche. Perfect breakfast menu. Staff that was calm and easy to communicate with. Only negative was the day I ordered french fries and quiche at lunch. Both came w/ large salads & were served on large plates. The waiter should have told me this, or should have adjusted the plates to reduce the amount of food I was served. It ended up looking like I had ordered far too much food for one person, and, as I was dining alone, it made me feel self-conscious & detracted from my enjoyment of the meal. That's why I took off a few points. Ideally waiters should be more knowledgeable about the menu & considerate of guests needs along these lines. I have to say also the waiters in the morning sometimes seemed a bit distracted and were a bit too focused on chatting with each other and socializing, with themselves and with acquaintances passing by. People should be relaxed at work I believe, but after a certain point it appears unprofessional.
Still, I continued going back, because the food and ambiance and overall organization were just unmatched by any other restaurant in the center area. Reasonable prices too, given what they provide. A pretty impressive operation overall, I recommend it for sure.
