“Unusual bridge”
Review of Bamboo Bridge

Bamboo Bridge
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This bridge crosses the Nam Khan River that a few hundred metres farther downstream flows into the Mekong. It is amazing that such a bridge can be constructed by bamboo. However, it doesn't last forever and apparently needs to be rebuilt once a year after the rainy season when floods washed it away. On the East side of this bridge is a restaurant called Dyen Sabai where we had a cold beer and relaxed on flat cushions watching the river. This bridge is definitely worth seeing.

We crossed the bamboo bridge to go to a restaurant on the other side of the river. There was a lady at the beginning who we had to pay a small charge to for the upkeep of the bridge as it washes away each rainy season and has to be built every year. Great spot for photos

We walked across this bridge to get over on the other side of the river. There is a cafe/restaurant called Sabai.......Its a must to dine. One gets to hear the sound of the forest, the splashing sounds of the river & if you are there during the prayer time, yes, the beating of the gongs soothes the soul. What a bliss.
If you are crossing the bridge at nite, a small torch comes in really handy to watch your steps (although lights are provided along the stretch).

This bamboo bridge is an exciting cross of the Khan river. At night it will light up which makes great picture.
