We stayed an amazing 6 days in Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites. The 2 bedroom apartment we booked was great, with a generous 160 square meter area you can imagine the level of comfort. The rooms were quite clean and you can find everything a family needs. I had previous experience with other hotel apartments in Dubai ( to be honest they were quite good ) but believe me Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites has a higher standard of hospitality. the service we received was flawless , the ladies at reception deserve much admiration as they were really helpful giving attention to every request . Room service was also good.one of the highlights of this hotel is the professional way they treat guests during breakfast , people at Counter Culture restaurant were really friendly and nice.
The hotel has 2 other restaurants AZURE & THE OBSERVATORY ( last one is located at the top on the 52nd floor with an astonishing view). there is also a modern SPA where you can relax a lot.

The location of this hotel is a great advantage so close to the Plam and many other attractions and shopping malls which one can enjoy during the day and nighttime the unparalleled atmosphere of Marina Walk ( 2 minutes walking from the hotel )& THE WALK at JBR will bring an experience you'll never forget.

Me & my family really fell in love with Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites ! can't wait to go back ! Happy to find our new home in DUBAI

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I recently visited Dubai with friends and we also booked the two bedroom suite at the Marriott. We arrived really early due to flight time (taxi was also about 80drs from Airport) and although we had a pleasant greeting from the Receptionist there was a problem with the hotel being paid by Ebookers who we booked through, however, we'd only booked on the Sunday and we arrived on the Tuesday so it's no wonder really. What I hadn't bargained on was being asked to pay a second time! As you can appreciate I was less than enthusiastic about this idea.... Anyway, eventually the Receptionist said she would investigate with their Finance team. Meanwhile we couldn't check in to the suite so we were directed to have breakfast in the coffee shop. After that we visited the Health Club and Spa, plus pool, all of which are located on the 5th floor. The facilities are excellent (jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms plus gym and treatment rooms) and the HC and pool staff very friendly and helpful. The outside pool is pretty chilly and small, so only really used by children. We managed to find a nice sunny spot but it was noisy due to construction of the Infinity building which is going up next door (but you get used to it). We were eventually allowed to check-in to the suite at 4pm (although the payment issue was still not resolved). The suites are absolutely amazing, we had terrific views over the Marina, the Palm and even the Atlantis at the Palm. The rooms had huge ceilings and were very spacious, all rooms having robes, slippers and all the other usual bits and pieces. The kitchen was also full sized with a massive fridge (very handy for wine and champagne storage!). The only negative about the kitchen is that is doesn't come stocked with any essentials; washing up liquid, tea and coffee etc. Just a few things to tide you over for a few days would have been a nice touch. Our first evening out we wandered around the Marina, and picked up a few essentials at Spinney's. We soon realised that we wouldn't be able to sit outside and have a drink in the Marina so we returned to the hotel and asked about dining in the Azur restaurant, we were told it was open until 10.30pm but on arriving at the Azur, we were told by the staff that there was a private function going on!! Clearly there's a disconnect between the Reception and the Restaurants... again not the end of the world, just mildly irritating. We decided to pay a visit to the Budda Bar in the Grosvenor House Hotel, a very dark and funky bar / restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine (most reasonable was £36) plus three plates of appertisers (excellent), our total bill approx £100 for the three of us. It's a lovely place to go to enjoy the music and people watch but make sure you have deep pockets!! Back at the hotel we all managed a good nights sleep, the construction and traffic noise is only fairly distant. The next day we took the hotel's complementary shuttle bus to the public beach at Jumeriah, the beach and park are nice and facilities ok (lunch was fairly reasonable but nothing special). You can expect to pay 15 drs for sunbeds each. In the evening we visited the Souk at the Madinat and wandered around the various restaurants before settling on the Meat Co. as most other restaurants had a 45 minute wait. The food was pretty good, we had two starters, three mains and a bottle of wine for approx. £100 and the taxi to/from Madinat to the hotel is only about 20 drs. Our final day was a quick breakfast at Starbucks, and shopping for lunch at Spinney's. On the way to the Pool my friend and I decided to have a quick chat with the Hotel Manager about the hotel or more importantly the 'communication' issues with staff. The Hotel Manager was excellent and took our comments on board. We had already made a reservation for the Observatory restaurant on the 52nd floor for the evening and it was a wonderful touch that when we arrived at the restaurant he had arranged a bottle of wine for us. The food and views were stunning and the Bar (also on 52nd) has happy hour between 6-8pm. The restaurant and bar are both reasonably priced. All in all we had a fantastic stay at the hotel, I would definitely go back and I would say it's ideal for families or friends travelling together.

We arrived as scheduled at 11pm in Dubai via Emirates Airlines. Taxi's were abundant in terminal 3. We were directed to a pink family taxi with a lady driver at 82.50 dhs to Dubai Marina in Jumeirah.

Check in at Marriot Dubai Harbour Hotel and Suites was fast but I was surprised when the security stopped me from shooting with my handycam in the lobby and at entrance of the hotel. The concierge, “Chico”, a Vietnamese guy, brought our luggage up and showed as around the huge 2 bedroom-apartment suite on the 27th floor. It was well equipped and fully furnished. Very spacious, great kitchen complete with all kitchen utensils. A washing machine and iron and ironing board, a balcony with a fantastic view of the palm! Another guest-room with a single bed is there (more like a maids- room, without a window). The master’s bedroom has a 42” plasma tv and a king-size bed, while the other room has two single beds with its own toilet and bath too. I loved the bedding! So soft and comfortable. In total, the apartment suite has 4 toilets. There is a book shelf in the living area with lots of reading materials. Swimming pool was small and nothing to rave about but since not much guests come to swim, you can have it t yourself most of the time. Gulf news is provided every day. A small store on the second floor is available otherwise Spinney’s grocery is about 5 minutes walk and lots of cafes lined in the marina area and yachts all over. The observatory bar and restaurant on the top floor was also worth a visit with a 360 degree view of the palm island. A signature spa is also available and few restaurants inside. The Hotel is very good for families specially for those who intend to self cater. We prepared our breakfast and sometimes lunch too, somehow it helped us with our budget. Besides, our otherwise plain breakfast is made special because of the beautiful and relaxing view of the sea. We often just stay in the balcony or look out our window and admire the palm jumeirah. We can see atlantis from afar, parachutes landing, sea planes taking off, yachts moving, it's just so relaxing in the morning watching the calm sea.
What I don't like? well the constructions going on around the building (you will not hear any noise once inside your suite though).

For those who wish to take public transport, there is a bus stop on the side of the hotel but taxi's are cheap and always present in front of the main door. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah Beach Park. I highly recommend this hotel specially for families.
