I came down to Alton to say goodbye to my Grandma whom had passed away earlier this week. I called in the morning to see if I could book a room. Jessica was so sweet. I was going to arrive late in the day and she just told me to call when I arrived and she would come and check me in. She was so kind. The room had a mini frig, coffee maker, microwave cable TV and WI-FI. The bed and pillows were so wonderful. The smelled like laundry detergent and I have never slept so well at a hotel/motel. The room was clean and quaint. Stay if you can. If you are looking for something fancy go somewhere else. If you are looking for a place that feels like home stay here.

Rooms were super clean. Staff was very nice. We booked a room with 2 double beds for only $50 a night. There are only 8 rooms in this motel. Walls are not very soundproof so keep this in mind when booking. It was WAY better than camping and almost as cheap. There aren't a lot of hotels or motels in this part of the country so we were happy to find this place. It is located in a quiet area so the only "noises" you will hear are your neighbors (ours were quiet so it worked out great). You are a short distance away from the Eleven Point River which has excellent canoeing and kayaking.

Management is not on site - so just make sure to let them know what time you will be there or call ahead if your arrival time changes to make sure they are there. to let you in

Room tip: Most rooms have a fridge and microwave in them - I think a lot of hunters stay here in the fall.

We didn't know what to expect when we called and rented a room. When we got to Alton,we were tired and ready to call it a day. Jessica had our room ready and had the heat turned on. She also told us about Grandma Kitchen. We at supper there and it was delicious and I've never seen as much food on a plate. Came back to the room and had a good nite rest. Jessica makes you feel welcome . The room was cleaner than some expensive motels that we've stayed in. If we're ever in Alton,we'll stay again.

Alton Motel was clean, priced just right and in a great location. It has a cozy atmosphere. There was a group of 10 of us and we enjoyed our stay. Jessica was great to work with. I would DEFINITELY recommend this motel.

I stayed at the motel for a week and couldn't have felt more at home. Jessica was awesome to deal with before, during and after my stay. The room was clean and comfortable - prepare for a perfect night of rest. I had use of the kitchen...for which I was very thankful! I have reason to return to Alton several times in the coming year and plan to stay here every time! The only item missing is a closet. I will bring an over the door rack next time.
