We own a timeshare here. It was really nice! Peaceful, restful, and beautiful scenery. The rooms had everything you will need except food. Restaurants are in neighboring towns. 10-15 minutes away. Outings were available, and they were fun! Going back next year!

Beautiful in the fall says it all! There really is no better time to visit, although some would argue our proximity to area ski resorts makes the winter best, and our proximity to the lakes make summer ideal.....or maple sugaring and hiking in spring! Yeah, I guess Cold Spring is great any time of year!

We stayed for a week in a three-bedroom unit; actually it was more like a two-bedroom with an open space containing two more beds. There were only four of us, so we just used the bedroom spaces. An unfortunate feature for us was a hanging fireplace in the center of the downstairs area, although it might have been more appealing in the middle of winter. We had been warned about the lack of supplies--shampoo, dishwashing tablets, scouring pads, dishcloth, etc--so we were prepared. We had problems with the heat the first evening there because an override switch had been turned off. Having said all that, we had a really comfortable time and we loved that there were plenty of places to visit within a few miles of the resort--Plymouth and the movie theatre; the polar caves; the nature center; a local pottery. We also enjoyed both pools and a trip to the apple orchard with Tom, who appeared to be a jack of all trades at the resort. It is not the Ritz, but we would still return to Cold Springs.

Room Tip: We liked our unit--S1C.

Thanks for traveling all the way from Pennsylvania to stay with us! We're happy you explored the many area sites, including Polar Caves, theaters, Science Center and guided apple orchard trip with Tom (who yes, is a Jack of all trades, as well as an excellent tour guide!) Please visit again soon.

Room was clean & staff 100% amazing & friendly . Kids rented movies and arts and crafts for younger kids . Pool was clean but went one time and will be are last . Rules need to be look at just a little my teens like would have loved to swim. I think maybe have teen and kids on a set time where they can have fun . Understand that older people like it quite. Did the tour with tom 100 amazing. I will be back again .

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit. August is a great month to visit, with summer activities in full swing. Sounds like the kids had fun too and we're especially glad you took advantage of our kids recreation offerings! I didn't quite understand your comment about pool use, however if you were saying that there should be adult time only, the Federal fair housing laws prohibit condominium and homeowners associations from enforcing an "adults-only" period with regards to the use of pools or other common element recreational elements.

We stayed at Cold Springs Resort for 10 days at the beginning of August. We found the accommodation to be very clean and well equipped for our needs.

All of the staff were friendly and responded to our enquiries and provided advice on places to visit during our stay.

We took advantage of many trips and activities offered by the resort to explore the area.

The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools as well as a games room, gym facilities and tennis courts which we also made use of.

The grounds are lovely to walk during the evening and we found the resort to be a peaceful place for our holiday.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of our staff's knowledge of the area and participated in our trips. Yes, many guests use Cold Spring as their base for exploration, as there are so many places to explore in the lakes and mountains. Please visit again soon, we have so much more to show you!

Resort has all of the basics necessary for a good family vacation; pool (indoor /outdoor) proximity to activities (StoryLand 1.5 hrs, Clark's Trading Post 45 min, Squam Lake 15 minutes) and a playground.

Units are in desperate need of renovation/updates as TV's in unit were 10 years older than my 8 year old and bedding was right out of a motel 6 circa 2002. Also would be nice if towels provided were nicer than the rags I use in my garage.

Again cheap using RCI exchange but nothing spectacular.

We're sorry your unit did not meet expectations. We have since put flat screen tv's in all the units. Please give us another try as we strive to remain affordable without sacrificing comfort.
