Description: Located in the prime spot of Siem Reap city, Palate Angkor Restaurant shares the same site as Lynnaya Urban River Resort & Spa. The restaurant’s design is inspired by French colonial infused with Khmer artistic culture as well as natural plantation to provide relaxing ambiance. The menu itself blends international and local products, combing purely fresh-ingredients, native herbs and spices to create innovative and captivating flavors for our guests. While the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor options, our rooftop bar is not to be missed as the view up there is spectacular, overlooking the Siem Reap River and the bustling life of Achar Sva Road. Palate Angkor Restaurant is proud to offer several cuisines including Khmer, Asian, and Western styles in a lush contemporary setting. The restaurant is known for its authentic taste of Khmer dishes using only good qualities traditional ingredients; combined with professional and charming staffs to provide memorable dining experiences.

We found this restaurant while searching for a rooftop dining location. Once we arrived, we opted to avoid the mosquitoes and enjoy the main floor dining room. The restaurant was immaculate, well appointed and had floor to ceiling windows with a view of the river. We started with a cocktail - they offer many many beverage options, with or without alcohol. The dinner menu had many options of both Khmer and Western cuisines. We both opted for grilled steaks and were not disappointed. Our meals were well presented and delicious. Dessert is also offered - the chocolate ice cream (gelato?) is recommended. Service was top notch and unobtrusive. Once we were seated, we were informed that we could take advantage of the two for one happy hour - a great value. We had a very enjoyable, romantic dinner.

We love a rooftop view and there are not many in Siem Reap, although I am sure more will emerge. This one is tasteful and comfortable and they have a reasonably priced drinks menu with a happy hour from 5 pm. We found the cocktails a little heavy handed - the Ginger Rogers was dominated by mint and,to be fair, they did exchange it, without quibble, for a nicely balanced Lemongrass Collins. The food menu looks interesting and may be worth a punt if you are staying that side of the town

From the first day until the very end of our stay at the hotel, we had dinner only in the hotel restaurant, of course in the city on Pub Street food is much cheaper, but to go on a tuk-tuk for dinner in the city is not very desirable. We had lunch several times in the Old Market area, but the dinners at the hotel restaurant were lovely. The average expense of dinner with alcohol is 40-50 US dollars for two and this is cheaper than in Europe. In the evenings, we rested by the pool, where you can drink at the bar and buy in cool water, my wife's view is even too cool, and for me after hiking in the temples, bathing in the pool was a real treat. Our room was cleaned every day, changed clothes - everything was at the proper level.

We came to the Palate for my wife's birthday, starting with a cocktail on the rooftop terrace and moving downstairs for a very good meal accompanied by live music. Excellent service and good vegetarian options.

We had dinner here on the rooftop restaurant on a beautiful evening in Siem Reap. We were a bit concerned because they had a large tour group in the lower level but it caused no problem for our dinner on the upper/rooftop level. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I had fish amok - some of the best during our 2 week trip in SE Asia. Others were very pleased with their entrees as well. Good location along the canal and a pleasant evening stroll from our hotel (Shinto Mani Shack). Dinner for 2, including a drink was about $35 USD. Definitely recommend.
