The museum has the most extraordinary piano collection, from the ancient to the contemporary. Some are rare and some are weird. An eye opener for me.

Located on Gulongyu Island, the museum is an interesting place to visit, but wouldn't go to the island just for the museum. Fortunately, there are many other things to see on Gulongyu Island

The whole island this museum is on is very interesting in terms of history, almost essential to have a Chinese speaking guide however. The piano museum is the result of an eccentric collector I believe, vast collection of all sorts of different piano and piano type instruments.

Not worth the time unless pianos turn you on.
Gulangyu island itself is worth traveling to if you have a spare day.

This museum is a rarity anywhere but especially in China. They have some of the most unique and rare pianos that I have ever seen. Especially good for kids or anyone interested in musical instruments.
