I'll keep this one simple.
The layout of this place has relics and the bizarre from all over the world. So comfy and warm. If you're alone or with friends, there's plenty to look at.
Beer selection is in the dozens. Belgians, Euros, American, you name it. All the liquor you'd need, though I think beer is the order of the day here.
Food wise, there are page after page of continental and comfort food classics served into the wee hours. Tasty and of quality - just remember you're still having western dishes prepared by a single Chinese cook who has a lot of stock to manage. I'm quite particular and I really enjoyed my food.
Service - we were here three nights straight for drinks, though only one included food. Staff is a little bit smartphone-centric (you need to call them over usually), but when things are ordered they come fast and to order. No pretense - all are welcome. Local expats seem well comfortable here, but it's still a bit of a reserved environment.
Strollers is a gem for the expats in Dalian, and I think you'll enjoy a bit of a wind down here. Half smoking, half non-smoking, though you'll still pick up a bit of the smoke in the nonsmoking section - you should appreciate that they're trying. Have a few beers, catch the F1 match or BBC news, and enjoy the awesome decorations.
