We have stayed here on a number of occasions. Each time we have been treated courteously by staff whose English is not the best but who try to please. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are comfortable. The towels are starting to show their age and the hotel should be nearing the renovation stage, but I would still go back. Breakfasts are good with a wide variety. The freshly cooked eggs are delightful and the coffee isn't too bad either. Another plus is the location as the hotel is just across the road from Carrefour shopping centre, a short walk to Jusco and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The famous May 4th Square is only a short walk away also. Having lived in Qingdao for a few years I know that the Copthorne isn't the best hotel in town but it isn't the most expensive either. However, for value for money, it'll do me every time I come back to my "second home."
