If you are in town for Carnaval, the location is very convenient. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the parade on Via 40, and it is right on Calle 72 where the street parties continue all night. There are no worthwhile restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but plenty of street food and basic places to grab a fried snack. Apart from the location, there is not much else to recommend this hotel. The room was ordinary and the breakfast was mediocre.
Although the staff were generally helpful (helps to speak Spanish as there is no English spoken here), I did not appreciate having to argue about the bill more than one occasion because they insisted that we had to pay significantly more than what we were quoted on booking.com. Eventually they agreed to the original price but still added additional hotel fees that I did not understand.
A second issue was that the windows in our room had zero insulation capacity. That meant that when the A/C was off (which is any time we left the room) the room quickly turned into a sauna. 100% of the street noise was in our room all night even with the windows shut.
Finally, even though this is an 'aparthotel' with kitchens in the rooms, you should be aware that the kitchens are not equipped with anything. No plates, bowls, cutlery, rubbish bin, glasses. Just appliances and empty cabinets.More
