Colombia isn't the easiest place to survive as a vegetarian, and I have been searching for a place to go out for a good veggie burger in my home town of Barranquilla. Finally, there is BAQ Burger House! They have a great veggie patty which you can get in a classic burger or substitute on any of the fancy presentations on the menu. I've eaten here several times and always repeat my first choice, Villa Katanga (minus the tocino). The fries are tasty but not included; you can add a combo to your burger for 6,000 pesos, which gives you a small side of fries and a soda, or 40% off a different beverage. The mazorca grilled corn appetizer is delicious! It is way overpriced, but super tasty, and satisfies my occasional burger craving without my having to make a whole batch of veggie burgers at home.
A note on the location: it is up one flight of stairs, and one of the steps is slightly different in rise from the rest (a common occurrence here).
