Coming from Cartagena for the price I expected so much less in this hotel, great staff that went the extra mile even though my Spanish is poor. Big clean rooms with views and a little work desk and fridge. Brand new hotel and well worth more than their nightly prices. Great neighbourhood, quiet at night and easy to access the rest of the city.

This hotel is a great price. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The Cons:
The bathroom was very small and the mattress was extremely firm and not too comfortable. The door key also gave us a lot of issues and we kept having to go downstairs to get it fixed.

The pros:
The location was wonderful and the staff were fantastic. We really liked the laureles area. Plenty of restaurants and not as hectic as the more popular poblado neighborhoods.

Negative: the only bad thing about this room (but it's a major concern) was that the bed is in front of a window showing another room ... and at night if one has the lights on and the other the lights off... you see everything in the other room... even with both stores closed.
The towels were quite old and one permanently stained but still clean.
The safe was closed without key and we didn't understand how the TV work, but we called the reception and they immediately send the super nice employee who showed us and gave us a key so this is not a concern.

Positives :The personnel is super: reception was very helpful in explaining how the metro worked, where were the places we wished to visit etc.
The doorman was always super smiley and helping us immediately whenever we had a request. The young man serving food was also really smiley and there was good service. Another man working on the floor was also always smiley and was greeting us anytime we crossed paths.
The room was clean.
The price is not high.
The neighborhood is great both frequented by locals, expatriate and some tourists. Far from very touristic poblado. But still has a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby, adapted to international travellers tired of comida paisa.
There is metro (stadium estación ) at 10 minutes walk.
There also is an olympic pool you can go and swim nearby (5 min taxi, 20 min walking).

The hotel is located in the Laureles neighborhood, near the restaurants and bars and nightlife of the Carrera 70 area. I like this neighborhood as it is less posh and more "real Medellín" than El Poblado, for example. There's a big Exito supermarket across the street. Hotel is basic but good. Breakfast was very decent (eggs, fruit, arepas). Not a big fan of the soap or shampoo. The staff was very helpful. I misplaced my wallet (later found it in the airport) and the staff even sent me security videos through WhatsAp so I could confirm that nothing happened at the hotel. This was much appreciated. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this hotel, we had 3 nights here and the hotel was very clean, the room was nice and the breakfast was very good. The staff were also very friendly and more than willing to help us with finding our way around the city.
