If there is one thing you should do in Medellin, no matter how long you are in the city, you must ride the Metrocable! We got on at the Acevedo station, rode the K line all the way to Santa Domingo, changed to the L line and rode all the way to Parque Arvi.

The views of the city between Acevedo and Santa Domingo are stunning, and the 20 minute ride on to Parque Arvi takes you over farms, trees, and other indescribable nature. This is an incredibly cheap way to spend some time, and well worth it.

If you’d like to get a nice birds eye view over the city I would highly recommend this. Super cheap to go on the metro cables and ride to the top. My suggestion would be to take the metro cable to the parque arvi as this has the prettiest view and longest ride to the top. Also once at top it is a national park you can walk around and explore. Just a note to those whose Spanish isn’t the greatest. You are going over the Santa Domingo comuna which is not controlled by the police so avoid stepping out and going for a walk in that area.

Very nice experience it was rainibg but still amazing view and very cheap. I beluwve it was amor $1 in usd. You have ride train which by the way is very smooth and quiet some high tech stuff. So u ride train first to switch to station wgere u ride metrocable ask for $1 as long as u don't leave station. If u do u jyst pay again. I from chicago although i reside in Florida now trains Im used to are loud. Definitely do this its fun.

What a fantastic experience. Overall the metro and metrocable are seamless transferring from one to the other and are reasonably priced. I was taken aback at how clean and efficient the whole system is. The views are stunning and go all the way to parque arvi and there are stalls with food and trinkets. Really loved the whole thing and would highly recommend it.

What a amazing view of the Barrios built into the Andes, going up to the top of the mountains by Metro cable was a experience of a lifetime, the ride was smooth and calming. The top is beautiful jungles that you can get a tour of. Exqusite plants, flowers, birds. The ride down was just as nice.
