Got a free comp buffet by signing up for online casino. Was pleasantly surprised it was for 2 as I was with my wife. Normal cost would be $30 a person. Food was good- chocolate chip pancakes, omelet station, unique pizzas and some really good hash browns. Not as many desert options as I am used to at the trop buffet but food seemed to be fresher.

I frequent this buffet maybe 1-2 times a year, which makes a review either too thin or properly objective for the changes the place makes to improve itself. On the other hand, I prefer buffets in Vegas and other locations and feel comfortable providing a comparative review.

Some expectations are obvious but worth noting: you will wait in a line to pay for the buffet and then you will wait in a shorter line to be seated. Saturdays seem a bit more crowded compared to Fridays, but once you factor in holiday weekends, plan to either arrive early (near 5 PM) or exercise more patience waiting in line (after 6:30 PM). So once you get through the lines and get seated, the process of navigating through the food areas begins.

Best advice for this place: start with a plate and work yourself from right to left. Depending on the volume, either the patrons will form into a cafeteria line or popping in to grab some food may have you on the receiving end of a ‘stink eye.’ I’ve seen the line form itself and then break down, so the best advice is to start in the corner with the pizza and work yourself to the salad section to keep the peace.

Another word of wisdom: good buffets (like this one) do not run out of food at 7 PM on a Saturday. There is no need to pile food so high it falls off your plate. Still another word of wisdom is that not everyone is going to be as polite as the next person. There are people there that choose not to exercise ‘buffet etiquette.’ They are focused on the food, getting the food, and then getting back to eat their food. Take the high road and give them way; it’s not worth exchanging words over a piece of food or how you approach getting it.

Overall, the place provided good buffet service. The choices were varied and, with the exception of one item that was met with a surprised look, what you thought you took turned out to be what you expected in terms of taste, etc. The dessert options were a bit thin on selection but the variety of main food was good and I left full and content. Buffets are based on choices. One of those choices is how you behave at a buffet and what others see in your actions.

$42+ brunch for two person was a great deal! The variety of food wasn't too many but the food was still good. We arrived around 12:30PM for lunch thinking that the line would be long by then but it wasn't. It was Veteran's Day weekend and we only waited for about 10 minutes before getting seated. The line was a lot longer by 1PM. I'd go there again for their quality of food and reasonable price. Self-parking was $5.

I am not a buffet guy but on the recommendation of staff, we ate here before we left for home.

Good selection of food - some hits and some misses - the omelette station omelette was a bit watery for my liking a bit bit greasy. The prime rib was excellent. The waffle with their banana foster type of dessert over the top was the highlight. Not sure of how the cost compares to other buffets but for the overall cost of the meal - $80 with meal for two and one paid drink, I think I could have had a top breakfast or lunch. Did the job though.

Great buffet, great brunch. The Borgata buffet is really the closest you'll get to Vegas when you're in Atlantic City. They have a large layout and the food is very good, constantly being changed out, and they keep the buffet very clean.

Brunch at the Borgata is especially good, with a great breakfast spread and lunch specialties, and great drink specials. And parking at the Borgata is cheaper than other casinos too (which is good since you'll want to drive there if not already staying at the hotel).
