Nice hotel with good quality service and very funny animation team, everybody here deals friendly, amazing food and snacks and drinks, also the room space is suitable for us, presented facilities and beach are very joyful and relaxing

Check in was poor. The receptionist was busy dealing with another guest which was absolutely fine but we were not acknowledged properly at all. Whilst on the phone he handed us a sheet of paper which no instructions greeting or anything. No conversation or tour. If it wasn’t for the man that delievered our bags we would have had no rough idea where anything was. We spent 15 nights here and we had no clue where half the things were in the hotel. We were told that dinner had been left for us and when we returned back to the lobby to ask where instead of the man taking us there he circled a poorly made map.We were upgraded to a bigger room which was great as it was on the top floor however we found ants on our headboard and even on our bedside tables. It was sickening the amount we had to kill.
WiFi is rubbish honestly I would recommend getting your phone unlocked and then buying a SIM card. The hotel shouldn’t say they have WiFi because it doesn’t work.
Honestly from then throughout our stay we felt as if the staff genuinely did not care whether we were there or not. Food was awful, some nights I went to bed after having just a bread roll. Other nights we took a taxi to the nearest kfc and McDonald’s just so hunger wouldn’t get the best of us. Honestly if you are British then this hotel is not for you as it is catered for Europeans.
Closure of the main pool was a shame as the pool side and beach were often full and boring at points due to lack of entertainment. Another thing to mention is the fact that sales men constantly hassle you on the beach and by the pool. I go on holiday to be relaxed and not hassled. Another poor point was the fact that a staff member thought it was appropriate to say to my partner ‘what up my n****r’. This not only made us feel uncomfortable as we were the minority already but made us feel isolated
Egypt was beautiful but I can guarantee that I will never stay here again.

This Hotel is on the whole a great holiday destination, there are many things that make it great

Great Beach (Good swimming and snorkel area)
Fantastic & helpful staff
Good Room (3416) well maintained and clean
Great animation team
Great tour team (FunFly) can really recommend the Dolphin trip
Close to airport, but not too close
Great cocktails in the Ultra Lounge (we found the upgrade handy as it gave us access to bottled water and nice beer & cocktails along with good Wi-Fi ($15 a day)

Not So Good;

Food, these guys have to cater for many nationalities, and on the whole there was always something that`s Ok to eat, but its a bit of a scrum and basic food.

Pool was closed for major rebuild, and this pushes everyone into the other pools and too the beach, sure it will be fantastic when its completed.

As an Accor Platinum member i have stayed all over the world in Mercure hotels and this one is quite stand alone and unlike other Mercure`s, my stay was relaxing and without any problems, a big thanks to the Ultra bar guys in particular who kept us supplied with great drinks, but to all the staff a big thanks.

All things considered its a good location

Room Tip: 3416 was nice with pool and sea view, good size room with safe & kettle
