Wi-Wi - disaster. You have to eat the same food day after day. It is difficult to find a table at canteen - you should get up earlier or wait to the last 30 minutes. There were no sun at the pool - it is in the shadow of the hotel. The same story with the beach - it covers with a shadow early in the evening. Practicaly nothing to see while snorkeling - there is no reef - just artifucial steps made of concrete and big stones.

On arriving after 10pm at night we was d we could eat, we were sent to the restaurant and someone would bring food out. We went into the resturaunt which was filthy, no clean tables, no one came with any food. We went back to reception and asked for our room key.

We were taken to our room, tipped the guy and away he went. We looked around, opened the doors to find no balcony. When we checked the bathroom the shower cubicle door was broken, mound around the bottom and the toilet seat was broken. We opened the wardrobe door which had a full length mirror on it, the door fell off its hinges and landed on my foot....ouch.
We called reception and no one seemed to understand what had happened so we went back down to reception to explain. Their main concern was ' did the mirror break"!!!!!!
WHAT ABOUT MY FOOT
we were given another room, again shower and toilet broken, third room shower was ok and we decided to make do until morning as it had been a long say.
Following morning we went for breakfast, what a shambles, restaurant was not big enough and the overflow was outside. Have you ever tried to push open a heavy glass door, carrying hot coffee and trying not to spill it on the people barging past......
Steam was pouring out from under food so much so it could burn your face, food wasn't hot and choice was poor.

We met with our Rep and discussed our issues, and we decided this was not the hotel for us, besides all the problems the terrain was not suitable for a partially sited person.
The manager was called and he offered us another room in the sister hotel, SPHINX, al a carte meals for 2 weeks and use if the hotel cart.
We felt pressured to accept, room in SPHINX was far supreme than King Tut, pool was lovely, oh I forgot to mention that....king tut pool isn't a pool. The rooms are bigger, and it was not easy to get in and out off...
Use of the hotel cart was a waste of time as you still had steps, badly lit at night to get to a point of getting on cart. Everyone in the SPHINX hotel had to go to King Tut for breakfast.....
We spent the day by the pool and decided to speak to rep again as we wanted to transfer.....
Taxi driver was arranged to take us and the cost was 150 Egyptian pounds. £6.25. We was ripped of, charged £10' dumped at the wrong hotel and had to walk.

Room Tip: Book a room at the Sphinx

Recently returned from the hotel King Tut 4 * (in other sources - 3*), Hurghada. Rested in the beginning of may, 2018. At this time in Egypt, summer and sun, air temperature 35, sea 28 degrees. For an additional fee of $ 30 got a large room with stunning sea views (422). If you do not complain much, the hotel is on the Egyptian 4*: the first line, green area, two beaches (one from the pier, the second - sandy with a gentle entrance and a depth of 150 cm - convenient for both children and adults), sunbeds are always there, animators try. Safe! Of the minuses - not new furniture, plumbing and monotonous food. But you will not stay hungry. Breakfasts are delicious with a large selection ( scrambled eggs, pancakes, yoghurts, pastries) for lunch and dinner - a couple of soups, chicken and beef in different types, 1 kind of fried fish, rice, potatoes, pasta with sauce, vegetables - all fresh, there was no poisoning. They always bring food. Fruit in may little-oranges and dates. For 1 dollar you sell the plate with the watermelon juice. "Juices" - divorced, plus Cola, sprite. Coffee and tea are the cheapest, but the bar is free to cook Americano, cappuccino, latte. Delicious local beer, vodka is not bred, wine is like water.) Since Egypt is not the first time, decided to abandon the tour, but then did not stand - bought a walk on the bathyscaphe from the local guide Mido Bikham, with his company tiba-tour com. I recommend those who do not dive with a mask, it is interesting to observe the underwater world through panoramic Windows. The same, for which the main snorkeling, can swim during a tour of the open sea). I think the overall rating of the reviews (more than 7) is too high, so deliberately reduce the score. But in General, the rest was successful. Recommend hotel king Tut..."for picky tourists, for whom the main thing - the sea and security.
