We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay at Aqua Blue (Aqua Park) during the Easter Holidays. The check in process was straightforward. We were two single parents with 1 & 2 children aged 5, 8 & 11, we had booked two rooms but we were given the option of a family room which was like a 1 bedroom apartment. We ended up taking two rooms in the garden, I saw a cockroach and decided 1 wanted a first floor room, so you can see how awkward I am! The hotel accommodated us in the main building with great views of the pool and gardens.
This is a two story resort with 3 main restaurants and several bars, Its very spacious with simple gardens and a good range of pools and slides for children of all ages. There are loads of sun loungers that are really comfortable and some are like four poster beds.
We mainly hung out in the "beach area" where the animation team were based. We liked to join in with the aqua aerobics and the kids did the kids club in the afternoon which was generally colouring in, with gondola trips when the staff could be bothered, but it kept them out of the son, and my son kept asking to go. There was a good mix of nationalities, the majority of which were British, but there were large numbers of Russians, some French and German. Activities were 10 am to 5 pm and there was an evening show. Kids club was 10 - 12:30 and 15:00 - 1700 with a kids film (tom & jerry etc) at 7 and a mini disco after.
The slides are awesome although we did pick up a few scrapes and grazes, but there is a medical centre on sight and the lifeguards will patch you up. If you want to stay out of the action there are plenty of quiet areas. We are big on joining in so did the activities including the glass bottom boat, banana boat and dolphin show. Wed also did the evening trip to Fantasia.
We used the Spa and the beauty salon and enjoyed the Jacuzzi, Sauna, Cleopatra massage, mud bath and Turkish bath.
The bars in the hotel served local alcohol which I found very weak, The beer was nice. The juice was not fruit juice but cordial, but it was fine and there was post mix coco cola, Fanta & sprite. There was a selection of teas and Nescafé coffee and there were a couple of espresso bars
The hotel is really clean, the staff work very long hours and are accustomed to tips. The lifeguards are adorable and the waiters are lovely, in fact all the staff are great. The manager was always around and the rep was helpful.
All in all a great time was had by all.
