Our hotel manager recommended Bomra's - and when we checked it out on Trip Advisor we thought it looked good but were slightly concerned about the service.
In reality the service was impeccable. Perhaps the best we had in Goa.
We were really well looked after.
The menu is great at Bomra's and we both ate really well. We had cocktails and then wine which were both nice.
It was a thoroughly relaxing evening in a beautifully dressed restaurant, with incredible Burmese food. Loved it. Perhaps best meal of the trip.

We went there for our anniversary dinner. It's an occasion place, not a place for everyday dining ($$$$).
But, if you are in Goa and are tired of the shack food - which basically at tastes the same, do visit Bomra's. I dont remember the place much, but I still remember the taste of the food - which I think sums it up. It's designed and cooked with love, with wanting people to eat good, soulful food. The flavours were unique, subtle - but they lingered.
Eat here, thank me later. All this food talk is making me hungry !

I had the pulled pork as a main dish served with a very small portion of pumpkin mash garnished with a taste of spinach. The pork was very tender and topped with three pieces of crackling, which were inedible leather. My friend had vegetable pasta which she declared to be good. The desserts were delicious and quite honestly the highlights of the meals. We had the creme brulee and panna cotta. As we both have very small appetites the sizes were sufficient for us, but to some people the main courses may appear to be more of a starter size. Prices are expensive for what you get and be warned that the prices on the menu are not the prices you pay. The final bill has an addition of 3 different taxes added : 2 @ 2.5% + VAT, which bumped the final bill up by a considerable amount.

We visited the restaurant after lot searching of different list of restaurant in North Goa. The food taste is really unique. All the items we ordered tastes really good.

Recommended - Crispy Pork Salad, Slow Cooked Pork.

The negative is quantity. It's really very less compare to the price they have charged.

The best meal out my husband and I had during our two week stay in Goa...and we got through a lot of restaurants! Everyone was lovely. Clearly a lot of thought and skill gone into the preparation and execution of the dishes as well as the surroundings which are tasteful and comfortable. Bomras special cocktails kicked off our evening with a gingery zing. A couple of the most delicious salads, including a tea-infused, multi-textured dish that woke all my tastebuds. The slow-cooked pork came topped with the most delicious shards of crackling and the fish we had was delicate, juicy and with just the right balance of herb and spice to make it very sophisticated. Also, omg, last but not least, we shared a dessert of tender coconut and passionfruit panna cotta, a most genius creation! If you are in Goa, experience Bomras at least once.
