Went for a casual dinner on a thursday night.
Food :
Went for the unlimited kathiyavadi thali. The menu had the usual bataka shaak(potato curry), tindora(ivy gourd), desi chana(Chick pea) and gatte ki sabzi. Didn't try the gatte ki sabji, but the others were very good and authentic in taste. Especially the tindora sabji. The others items were jalebi, laddu, bhakri, rotlo, dudhi no thepla, khichdi and kadi. Bhakri and thepla and khichdi were awesome. The quality of the food was good. The price is considered, the rate was around 650 per person. So as far as price to food ratio is considered I would say it is 70% worth the price. But given the remaining environment and ambience the rate seems a good deal.
Ambience :
The ambience of Vishalla needs no intro. The same great ambience and had some puppet & traditional dance going on live.
Service :
All the staffs members, starting from the guy seated at the bill counter to the guy serving were all courteous and well-behaved. Really loved the way they treated us. No unnecessary dumping of food without asking, as usually seen in other unlimited gujarati thali restaurants. Only served foods in necessary quantities, and after explicitly asking. Which I think is great, and helps almost prevent the wastage of food in these unlimited thalis.
Overall, a great place if you want some good gujarati food and some detached environment.
