We four of us stayed for two nights at Arudh Mahal. They have only two rooms for the guests. The room and the wash room are clean. very close to the palace and the museum. The hosts Shital and Jai are very friendly.

Arudh Mahal seems like a little oasis in Vadodara!
It was a great pleasure staying there. Not only thanks to the location and the nice and spacious room. But also, and most importantly, thanks to the amazing host Shital and his family who made us feel very welcome, prepared delicious breakfast and went out of his way to help us retrieve our luggage which was lost on the flight to India. Thanks again!
We can highly recommend this homestay for anyone wants to feel at home in Vadodara.

1 review My son & myself had a great time during our royal stay at the Arudh Mahal. Mr. Shital, his parents ,his wife Jai ,Son Arnav, and not to forget their pet dog Sangram Singh are fantastic, loving & caring. The rooms are spacious, Wi-Fi, home theatre & AC functional, bathrooms spotless clean, their home cooked meals are amazing & very delicious, The Best part was relaxing outdoor & garden.

Away from the noise of (what can be called) old city despite being a part of it... serene and cozy; the location's ideal... so close to the Laxmi Vilas Palace, max 10 minutes drive from the relatively newer city!
Walk out to experience the 'Pole (narrow lane)' equivalent of the old city... experience and live the 'charm' of that side of the town - which no new city can ever offer!
Family that ranges from a scientist to a ex-senior HR leader to naturalists...if hungry for conversations, go for it! Local food (Gujarati) to Maharashtrian servings... Indeed best of many worlds!
