Description: The Tibetan Kitchen is a cozy and charming eatery in the bustling town of Leh. Tucked away behind a Tibetan market on Fort Road, it's one of the oldest and best place to eat in Leh. The restaurant has a humble ambience and a lovely sit out open to the sky. In peak season it is extremely crowded and at most times you have to wait to get a table. Speaks volume of the food, if the place has people flocked and waiting for a table you know the food ought to be great. Creating a variety of taste buds we serve Tibetan, Chinese, Thai, Continental and Indian cuisine along with chilled beer. The food is made fresh, we make the dishes from scratch that you have to give us enough time to have your order served and you will be pleasantly delighted. You can also sit out in the open space, order a cup of tea or coffee and some starter, read book in the evening and it can be very relaxing. Usually after the peak lunch hour the place is quiet. Other authentic Tibetan dishes like Gyako are made on request and you have to order a day ahead because it takes time to cook and are prepared in the most authentic way

Nice atmosphere and friendly, professional staff. Clean tables with candles. Food was really good and well presented. Although is a bit more expensive than other Tibetan restaurants in Leh, the bill was reasonable considering the quality of food and service (around 500 INR for 2 people). It's usually very busy but there's plenty of space between tables so you don't find yourself squeezed in.

Despite it being full our host gave us a table but told us we would have to be out in 45 minutes. Not a problem. The menu choice was wide and service was prompt with no hanging around. Food was delicious and prices excellent.

Good restaurant of you want to try local cuisine or chinese food etc. Indian food is ok but better than other outlets in the city. It has open seating good for lunch on sunny days and covered area also for dinner when it gets really cold.

Must try local thubka, momos, kothay, noodles and fried momos.

Yes, I can say so u get best food here!
When checked with localities Tibetan kitchen was recommended and on trip advisor too!
We did go twice for a good appetite.
Everything is made fresh and delicious! Worth the wait.
From Thupka to momos to butter naan n paneer everything!

For best thupka and momos one should definitely go! Must visit for goood food.

Pre book the table, best advice as its full most of time. And kitchen closes by 4pm reopens at 6pm.

Only disappointment is we couldn’t try Gyakhok the local food which needs 24 hours prior bookings for them to prepare!
