The Jayamahal Palace is hotel in a sprawling 19 acre property, bang in the heart of the city and right next to the Bangalore Cantonment Station. It is a 100+ year old palace converted into a heritage hotel with a restaurant. Among the positives are the location, abundant greenery and parking space, good restaurant and the price is quite affordable, apart from of course the experience of living in a former palace. On the flip side, the property is crying for proper maintenance both inside and outside the room. I stayed in a Standard room for the day and had issues with the bathroom - it wasn't cleaned properly, the flush made a loud weird noise and there was no option to fill the bath tub with water. There are too many support staff hanging around and noisy. There's a huge beautiful lawn but I saw stray dogs fighting over a rat on the lawn. The owners would do well to change the organization that's managing this property.

Room Tip: Try to book a room in the heritage wing and not the standard rooms next to the palace.

We stayed @ this Property for 3 days and found its a very good hotel to stay with my family..My only concern is about the bathroom which is very small and Television which had no flat screen.

The Property is very big. The building and the surroundings are really beautiful.

My son and me had stayed for almost 2 days and every minute of our stay was memorable .
The Staff, The room and The ambience was lovely and warm.
If you want to stay right in the busy city center and yet have your own serene space with nature abundant then you must experience Jayamahal Palace .

Jayamahal Palace Hotel is a good property and very well located, but could do with a little more maintenance and upkeep. The property seems to be coasting on weddings and events being held there. While the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom and toilet fixtures need to be renovated quite urgently.

Overall, I would rate the place at 3.5 stars, particularly because it is value for money. The rooms are reasonably priced and the service is helpful (though not polished).

Price is on the higher range compared to the service provided or the maintenance standard. This is a royal palace or kind of castle which is very rare to find to stay now a days and the hotel management has done every bit to make sure that it is in unhygenic and very badly maintained state. This property needs some one to take care otherwise it will just remain as a bar and restaurant. We stayed in Luxury suite named jayamahal suite where the bed room was very spacious but was very much disappointed with the bathroom and the gallery. If the hotel owners are reading this review then please get up and start preserving this beautiful castle and make it glowing again.

Room Tip: jayamahal suite was good having two big galleries and large bed room but bathroom with tub will be disappointing.
