My time at this hotel was marred by some really annoying factors. I was given a room on the ground floor which had one entire wall of glass windows and the bedhead was right next to a window that was part of the hotels' office.....very thin curtains on both meant that you felt you had no privacy and the noise level was terrible. You could hear conversations as if people were in the room with you....not good. The food was ordinary and not that well priced either. The bathroom in this room was very poky. The room obviously was not purpose built, having been converted, unsuccessfully. When I spoke to management about this problem I was then given a tour of the 1st floor rooms which were much better than mine. As I was the sole occupant of the hotel at the time I felt I should have been offerred one of the better quality rooms. Internet was not available during my stay and the power failed often. My advice to other travellers is to NOT accept the ground floor room if they are given it - even management refer to it as 'the noisy room'! The hotel does have a nice outdoor area to sit in. The billiard table was not in use as it was undergoing repairs. Ecclectic furnishings don't make up for a lack of com;ort and sleep.....
