Stayed here for a few nights with a mate and mostly enjoyed my stay. The hotel needs some renovating, and the swim-up bar is never staffed, but the staff here are really helpful, and the bar staff wander around the pool to check if you want anything. Pretty decent hotel overall, but the renovations would make a huge difference.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, we were booked for 8. This hotel although fairly inexpensive was very poor. We booked 2 rooms to accomodate 3 adults and 2 kids. The hotel is located right on Poppies lane. I mean RIGHT on it. Its quite noisy and not really private. Both rooms had NO hot water at all. There were also no pool towels available to us so we had to use our towels from our bathroom. The breakfast was also disappointing. The staff were friendly and didn't question us when we told them we were moving out. We wouldnt stay here again.
It feels very good to come back to Maharani every time. Staff warmly greets you back, food at the restaurant is very tasty and the rooms are very comfortable. Definitely the best location in Kuta. In the beach front!! You can walk barefoot just with your surfboard to the beach. I highly recommend :) special thanks to Linda who promptly helped us with everything!!
My friends and I went to Bali for the very first time and we chose a fair price guest house in Kuta with good review. Unfortunately, the accommodation we chose was a disaster for us with many inconveniences and it was quite far from Beach although it said 5 minutes walk. So, we decided to change our stay by inquiring near by hotel on Kuta Beach Road. Luckily we found a place which is located on Kuta Beach Road and also at the top of Poppie Lane 1 and it is Maharani Beach Hotel. Based on our bad lesson learned we tried to check the hotel room first before we decide to stay. Just after seeing clean and cozy room of Maharani none of us want to lead leave the room without considering other services and facilities as it is obviously different from our previous one. Once we are settled we learned that it has it own Bar which serve all day long from breakfast till dinner and it also has "Live Music" almost everyday. Swimming Pool which is located in shady area make you never want to leave as it is a good place for me to chill after exploring the beauties and enjoying the adventures of Bali. I would say the hospality of the staffs as very good. Among them, Linda Sulistyowati (Guest Relation Officer) was the best off all with her sweet smile and helpful advices. However, there is one little thing that I don't feel comfortable is "Breakfast". They only serve two different set of menue which is a combination of Western and Balinese. To sum up my stay in Maharani, it is very great with easy access to Kuta Beach (not more than 30 steps) and convenience room and services.
Had the misfortune to stay here for three nights, we had booked twenty three nights but three was two to many. Our sea view deluxe room was over looking McDonald's. This was a 24hr McDonald's and you could here the roof fans 24/7. Not possible to sit on the balcony as the smell from the extractors was sickening. After a few minutes on the balcony your clothes stunk of cooking fat. There was no manager to sort my problems and although the staff were nice and polite they could not assist as they were not allowed to make decisions. I contacted my card company got a refund and moved, shame I had already wasted 3days of my holiday in this dump..... don't make the same mistake....
