Stayed at the KP in May for the umteenth time and am sad to say it is definitely starting to show it's age. Furniture and fittings have seen better days, air con noisy, fridge door wouldn't close properly and list goes on. And the grey towels, well they should be put to rest a long time ago.

Grounds and pools still look great but the noise from the construction site next door is relentless, even when sitting around the main pool.

We've also noticed during the last couple of visits that more than ever the KP is attracting large family groups who reserve 6/8 sun lounges at a time making it extremely hard to get a spot unless you're out really early.

With so many new alternatives in Legian and Seminyak we'll probably look at some alternatives next time.

Very sad how this hotel has deteriated

We arrived at 11pm at night with 18 month old, no cot was set up in our room as requested, we were then told the hotel no longer supples power adapters so we could not play DVD player to put baby to sleep.

We could not ruder dinner r any fod as hotel kitchen was closed

Next day no plates for cereal. 20 minute wait for poached egg, gave up

No pool seats available, no one using them just all reserved

Room was not cleaned until 3pm,

We purchased 5 hours of wifi that dd not work, got money back by complaining

Restaraunt wifi also did not work

Staff lovely and helpful but not the same as it used to be

We wont stay there again

Room Tip: Our two year old could fit through the 3rd floor balcony railing. Choose a room on bottom floor away...

Nice place and good position. Quite close from the airport, good starting point to visit Bali
We were in the block A in front of the construction, the noise was ok, nothing during the night. The construction is also well hidden.
Nice garden, the restaurant is nearly on the beach. A lot of warung are close

Having stayed at the Kumala Pantai many times again we were pleasantly surprised. I travelled with a group of 4 friends and stayed in the Ambassador suite in SG02-03. The suite was very spacious and having the two bathrooms was amazing. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily it was nice to come in to find clean room and beds with a frangipani on your pillow after a busy day. The pool area in that block was quite shaded but beautiful. The restaurant is very popular and the food is great with some type of entertainment on a nightly basis. The gardens around the property are gorgeous. All in all we had a fantastic time again . I would recommend this hotel and will be returning again in Sept.

Room Tip: We liked SG and S block around the pool with the swim up bar. The other pool dosent have swim up but...

My husband and I stayed here in Feb 2012 for 7 nights. What a hidden gem..... our room was in Y block - it was clean and basic, could do with an upgrade but for about 77AUD a night was GREAT value. The grounds are amazing, the pools are very inviting (took us a while to find the other pool which had the sit down pool bar), fellow travellers were mostly families and over 30's so if you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it. Great location- on the beachfront on the border of Legian/Seminyak - plenty of restaurants and shopping on your doorstep. Briella Spa literally across the road - not plush but great massages and beauty treatments. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the gents offering transport were great value. Breakfast was included in the room cost and was good - we did eat at the restaurant in the hotel for dinner one night - food was ok and the barong dance was great, but we ventured out for dinner the rest of our stay (Sarong Restaurant was amazing). HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you want great value for money and don't have a megabucks budget. We will definitely be coming back and staying next time we stay in the area.

Room Tip: Y block is closest to reception, furthest from the beachfront and is right in front of the main pool...
