Although it's situated away from the main road, you get a phone and you can call staff to come and pick you up and drop you off. You can also hire scooters from there.

Staff are lovely, breakfast is nice and I LOVED my room. It was away from the main road, but rightly so, because the paddyfield view was just wonderful and it was so quiet. When we were out, it rained briefly and the staff even took in our washing we had out to dry.

Only thing negative to say would be that the sound loungers were very dirty and had damp on it.

We would definitely love to come back

Well back again, this place is certainly my haven when in Ubud, nestled in the rice fields, private and top service, yet sooo close to Ubud centre. Such attention to detail, from the amenities in the room, to the attentive local staff to the delicious breakfast. Arranging transport for day trips or shopping excursions is swiftly organised, nothing is too much to ask for. I love Solo Villa's being on the pathway that is the well known rice field walk which does a loop and brings you onto the main road in Ubud, back towards the palace and then up what in my opinion is the quaintest paved lane in Ubud, with lovely local cafes, shops and spa places. Solo Villas have high quality amenities and well chosen local furniture, with ultra comfortable beds for the deepest sleep ever. This is the place to stay a stone's throw to Ubud centre, can be walked, yet feels like one is indulging in a restorative rice field retreat stay. As a solo traveller this time, i felt relaxed in the intimate pool setting and well looked after in all respects

I stayed here for six nights. There is a lot to like about this little place. First is the location—absolutely beautiful. Sure, it’s a bit of a walk to the main part of town, but it’s worth it, and in any case, the hotel provides free scooter rides 24/7. The folks who work here are great, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but good, with both Western and Indonesian options. My villa was very comfortably set up; it’s not luxury, but it was clean and pleasant and had all the essentials. Because you’re in the “countryside” a bit, you might (as I was) be visited by lizards, spiders, or frogs—no big deal.
Not everything was perfect. The wifi was reasonably fast when it worked, but it went down a number of times, sometimes for extended periods (once for most of an entire day)—very frustrating. The airport pick-up I’d arranged through the hotel wasn’t there when I arrived. It eventually showed up late, not the hotel’s fault, certainly, but it didn’t reflect well on it.

Ultimately, if I needed reliable internet access (as I did this trip), I would probably not stay here again. Otherwise, I’d be glad to come back, as it’s a very solid overall choice.

The charm of this place is it's location, helpful and friendly staff and design. It's set above the busy Ubud center in the quiet rice terraces along a walking path. You can ride your motorbike here or the staff will pick you and take you anytime. It's small and intimate with all the services you need. The staff are super helpful but also let you enjoy your privacy. The private villas are expertly designed, luxurious and come fully equipped. It's really a treasure and worth seeking out if you want a special experience.
